So I have been seeing this card more and more and its way more powerful than what I have estimated during spoiler season, the amount of tempo this thing provides is just amazing, lately I have been playing against some Dimir piles and I´m amazed by how much value you can get with this thing... kill/block a creature, bounce any problematic permanent and surveil 4... it even triggers any Surveil nonsense. I have even included it in the SB of my Jeskai Control deck with great results, I wonder if anyone else is playing it. |

It's no gearhulks but it can do work. Big draw-back is the 3 toughness and the cc. If your playing a deck that can get to 6 mana consistently, it's alright as a 1-of. The surveil 4 can also dig for answers buying you time, but I'd say it's too easy to kill to be an effective win-con. |

If it didn’t have Flash I would say 6 is too expensive but the tempo swing if a well timed flash and using all the effects would be pretty big |

I think it’s a toss up... flash helps with the fact it has no protection, and it’s in colors that CAN protect it. The rate 4/3 is low for a 6-drop, and leaves it open to all kinds of damage-based removal. I think there are much better cards for 6 mana, BUT I don’t think it’s a bad card, and it certainly looks like a fun card. |

It's bad and has never helped any of my opponents. 4/3 flash for 6? I'd prefer to play even Dreamcaller |

Yeah, I had very high hopes for the Dream Eater, but ultimately it squeezed out for better options. Dimir Surveil doesn't need it with Doom Whisperer, Esper doesn't need it with Chromium, Jeskai just uses Crackling Drake. It's just not high enough impact compared to what it's competing against. |

Against GB ETB shenanigans... it clearly is beyond bad, but it has been quite good vs my Boros Angels and vs my Izzet based control piles. I think I had underestimated, I guess she shines the most in the new Dimir Control deck but it has put up some good work in my Jeskai deck. The tempo is very, very high man |

Hell, even Naru Meha and Raff Capshen are better. One can help you in counter wars or double the Contempt, the other allows you to play legendaries at instant speed. I have yet to see Crafty Cutpurse, but that would be a great blowout against selesnya tokens |

Even if you don't fear Cutpurse, you'd be better served to play around a counter. |

I run a 2 of in my Dimir control deck. In control with mana it can be a good play, it does die to removal but cast at the right time the value is there. With surveil and running hand destruction it can bounce any non Hex proof threat. I’d agree that Doom Whisperer is better but having both makes the Dimir deck a bit more interactive and the surveil can be useful from a draw perspective for a key card. I enjoy Dimir Control in Arena but it’s not been popular in the pro tour at all. Surveil it seems is not a game winning mechanic. I think though hand destruction can be brutal if timing is right.
