So, curious how often people have run across others from NGA. I have started playing again more and ran into DaNinja last night, and I realized that he was the first NGA member that I (knowingly) have played. (We both were playing versions of Grixis control, and it was a great game)

Anyway, just curious who others have seen online and how the games went.

I dunno, most players have names I don't recognize. I just spam Quick Constructed.

I do pretty much the same. I have been lazy and have not made a sideboard, partly due to not wanting to spend rares on sideboard cards and partly because Quick Constructed is so....quick.

Seems like Quick has a pretty good variety of decks now. The only deck I hate to play vs is U/W, but thankfully it seems to be pretty rare lately.

Yeah, most UW decks I run into are mill-based, which means I can get out in front and usually just outrace them since they don't have a big counter suite to slow me down.

I remember playing one game against a fellow NGAer a few days back (I believe it was Yondar, but not 100% sure anymore).

If I remember correctly, it was in a M19 quick draft game. I was on a base-green deck (green-white I believe) and managed to ride Vivien Reid to her ultimate for the win.

You'll find me most of the time spamming either quickdrafts or running bad manabases in Quick Constructed. Not too high ranked in either yet (Silver 2-3 for Constructed, Silver 1 for Limited)

Not really any yet. That's why I started the Arena name thread. Some of us here may have a different name there.

Didn't realise that was a thing until I saw your post. Played DCG-MTG in singleton, twice in a row, he crushed me. Also played against CGB (does he still post here?) in constructed a couple times, think he was probably brewing since they were both fast concedes. Might have played against Haven_pt a while ago, prewipe maybe, but I'm not sure.

Yah I have had no luck. Hell, GoA is a member of the Discord channel but under a different name, I've know that quite a while and were talking about getting matched up on more than one occasion. We willed the universe to pair us in a game and, what, 6 months now and nothin...

Yeah, I think we've played. I remember the Tolkien reference in your username. Can't remember what decks we played or who won...

If it was pre-wipe I was probably playing jund good stuff, but yeah I can't remember either. Game needs a friend list and an arranged game mode. Kinda surprised there's nothing like that yet, I'd have thought that would be a pretty big thing.

So I just played LegendofChiang in Singleton.

Actually, you might be right. As is most decks in Singleton, it was at least 3 colors IIRC. Rolfstomped whatever it was though.

Well, since we can now play drafting and standard in arena Chiang can't really do his thiang anymore...

(For those not familiar with Chiang, his thiang was to start completely irrelevant standard based threads in the duels forums and gloat about how he would Stomp newbies)

Can't say I miss him. Wonder if he'll ever show up here...
