So there's another expansion coming. Just like I remember base sets, this one has a ton of chaff and unexciting vanilla crap, but some good reprints of staple cards. I'm really glad to see shock and lightning strike are here to stay. Guttersnipe looks interesting, but slow... Bloodlust Inciter became a Goblin. The rest of red looks kind of meh though (I was expecting this). There are a couple of interesting wizards (still wishing Stormchaser mage gets a reprint), including a wizard man-o-war. Reclamation Sage is back (mixed feelings for that one, Rec Sage always showed up for my opps and never for me in Duels. Also its Green...) Speaking of Green, gigantosaurus? Really? 10/10 for 5cmc? As if ghalta wasn't enough, he has a cousin now. Bolas looks like he gets a flip card. Bolas beatdown should be fun. Ajani got a pretty boring new Pw too. White did get Mentor of the meta that was fun in the older Duels games and is a decent draw engine (drawing 2 cards off of history of Benalia for example). Recollect looks like a potentially busted combo card. Black gets a decent 4 drop Demon, Murder (still strictly worse than Unlicensed Disintegration) and another zombie/Skeleton lord. |

I love Guttersnipe!! now we need Talrand!! Did you see the Wizard that bounces a creature for 3CMC that could be a nice tempo play for Izzet wizards |

Following DOM, M19 just reinforces my newfound loathing of tribal. Despite all the reprints, I’m still more excited for this than either set of Ixalan. I guess Crucible of Worlds and Scapeshift will do that for my Johnny tendencies though. Resplendent Angel looks sweet, just need to find enough playable lifelink. |

Before MJack writes a 1000 word response, this doesn’t disprove his point, it reinforces it. This deck tops out at 3CMC, not 4 or 5, and that’s why it can get away with just 20 lands. Assuming it even works. |

I bet he is writing one in deep article about this , but the decks we where defending with Haven also curved out at 3cmc and I had 21 lands if I remember correctly, this low to the ground decks work, trust me and if you don´t at least take into consideration that freaking Frank Karsten with his mana/math freak guru reputation knows this well enough to build one 20 lands deck in this 24 lands dogma world we live... That might be one fun challenge to kickstart the deck building contest BUILD ONE 20 OR LESS LAND DECK |

Your memory serves you poorly (sort of), but that’s cool, because it doesn’t matter. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=21032&start=0 Meanwhile Karsten’s Deck has just 2 3 drops (main). |

Leonin Warleader Hanweir garrison became a white cat? Fraying Omnipotence Pox is back! Shame they slammed +2cc on it, but now its half and not a third. Psychic Corrosion Oh no! Tutelage is back! Suncleanser Where was this guy during kaladesh block? It's strange, but this core set actually looks interesting aren't core sets supposed to be boring? |

I'm trying to stop posting about how **** this game is so other people can pretend it's fun in peace. Don't really feel like explaining why some posters can't build an aggro deck again. If you really want though I can start posting heavily again. The game's giving plenty of ammo. And in that situation I would be more than willing to explain how a deck with 6 four-drops should have more than 20 lands. |

Being absolutely real: I still check this subforum for news on MTGA, but I'm trying not to post b/c I don't want to depress people or ruin other people's fun. Please don't poke fun at me to the point where I feel the need to respond. |
