I know it’s probably a silly question as it will depend on what deck you already have, and want to improve. My current build has good Rares but I don’t think it needs a mythic. I opened one however. There may be obvious choices like Karn, Teferi, Scarab God.

There is definitely a different way to think about now we have full standard. I guess the answers may vary but interesting to see what replies, if any.

In Magic Duels, due to the rarity restrictions you could kind of build around a mythic. Decks like Walkers though meant that of course all your Planeswalkers are mythic. Likewise with gearhulks.

If a mythic rare was burning a hole in your pocket, what would you spend it on.

Karn is probably the safest choice, playable in just about anything. Hazoret if you want to smash faces, Teferi if you like hour long games, Muldrotha for Singleton.

I'm still sitting on most of mine though, waiting to for packs to point me in a direction for another deck.

I would recommend Karn for sure it’s a card engine at 4cmc that goes anywhere, you can combine him with the treasure map that comes in the welcome decks for extra value

Karn is great no doubt. I've hardly been playing and have about 3 MR I need to burn so I think one will be on him. For the entirety of the game so far I believe I've gotten the most value out of Rekindling Phoenix.

Clearly the correct choice is Glorious End.

My question is, how can you force your opponent to play that card?

If you have a Hive Mind. You cast Glorious End, his copy goes on the stack and resolves first ending you turn (your copy never resolves) and now has to scramble to kill you in a turn.

I've actually lost to glorious end in Arena. I was gonna win that turn too, so props to whoever it was that beat me, because you found exactly the right moment to use it.

As for the Mythic? Karn is good, but not as a 1-of imo.
Lyra or Rekindling Phoenix are probably the best options you can use in various decks.

I've got about 10 Mythic WCs atm and I think I'm gonna try combo next, so I'm probably gonna blow them Paradox engine

Rekindling in my RB probably makes sense. Especially given Dominaria Pro Tour Top 4. But Mono Red Aggro wins it. Who knew lol. SD

Rekindling was the choice but of course as a one of it’s great when it shows up. Another mythic popped up, not sure from where. Due to lack of actual play time vault is only at 9% so miles off cracking it. SD

I got a mythic and rare wild when I cracked the AER and KLD give me packs. Must be where you got yours.
