Much too late, both the decks have already been chosen.

I'll call this contest a massive dud. All the top 8 decks were bad, and the 2 winners will lead to awful gameplay (count how many cards will basically be blanks in the matchup). It's pretty sad :(

Good call. Should lead to more fun games.

At least we know mana screw has been implemented correctly!

They did à promotional featured match which showcased the mana problems of Magic? That's hilarious

Well, at least we know those things are actually live lol. I wish they showed us the deckbuilder, though :(

Rowdy Crew's animation was actually nice (which is funny since the card is garbage).

Next week's stream will be a pretty big deal for this game. I hope they deliver.

Did the UR deck win any game? I watched a lot, but not all. That deck looked/played like absolute garbage. Once again proving that cute doesn’t win games, even against a bad/poorly constructed value deck.

#saltytheydidntchooseasubmissionofmineobviously

I’m also sad they didn’t show the builder. /-:

Nope. It feels like they tried to stay away from the obvious decks like Dinos and Pirates, but forgot that everything else would be trash. And that's when I get my "I told you so" moment.

More than anything else they already used the Tribes in past streams, so they ought to showcase some different take to not get stale.
At this stage, it's important to show off the products' potential and actual interactions, without relying to fixed builds.
The more fixed is the environment, more doubts it is staged or hiding known glitches.

UR was to deck itself out, but it has been fun to see all those interactions.

Just gonna give my general thoughts

- Still can't see if your opponent scry'd to the top or bottom which sucks, but i suppose we survived that with Duels

- I think the PW's position is awful, they're hidden away in the corner and look really out of place, I hope they improve on that cause at the minute it looks so easy to forget about them

- I REALLY don't like that sweepers deal the damage one at a time vs creatures, for one i think it looks way less cool then the whole board getting nuked at once and more importantly if they have a huge board it'll take ages to actually kill each creature (say vs an anointed procession deck)

- this is probably just me, but the lands in hand look pretty bad as well, i have a real hard time actually figuring out which land is which, or even if it's a spell

I think the devs already realised the scry thing and said they're fixing it.

Also, yeah, it took a few games for Kenji to go off and even then he still lost because he was throwing all his burn at the creatures as removal so he can stay alive instead burning the face.
They didn't want Dinos vs Pirates and I guess that's why the votes went that way too but they kind of swapped out the Revel deck with one that was still too much value for the spells deck to try and make the match more fun and it backfired.

it backfired.

I wouldn't call it that way at all; at the very least there was something to watch.
2 Creatureless decks with many dead draws trying to tick face burn eachother would not have provided a better viewing experience, nor an adequate showcase.

Yeah I suppose saying it backfired was wrong, especially since mana screw was involved, though it failed at showing even matches.

Lol... those matches weren't even close to even. The Dino guy was totally screwing around on the last game. It wouldn't have even been close if he was playing seriously and got rid of his opponent's "win-con" when he had the chance as he obviously should have done.

Still it was pretty fun to watch.
