DJ, yeah think of it very similar to a heroin addict. I’m constantly chasing that first high again and again. New Hope, Empire but especially Rogue One, Mando and especially Andor all give me huge highs. The first experience of these entries were so awe-inspiring that I’m willing to risk disappointment. I don’t touch the cartoons tho. I only saw the Clone Wars movie and saw a pink
R2 unit girlfriend for R2D2 and I think I was done with the cartoons at that point.

I’d sooner question my dedication to the Alien franchise which has a far worse track record.


Never saw Andor - yes, I know, it’s on the list.
Mando was at best passable
Fett was terrible
Obi Wan looked terrible
Ashoka looked terrible
Acolyte looked terrible

Basically after Mando was getting good review while still being bad, I gave up.

But you’re right, explain you weird loyalty to Alien, lol!

With Alien I feel like a battered wife « he still loves me, I know it » who sticks around

I really think you’ll dig Andor, it’s incredibly deep and impactful. It sets the stage for so much, really cool to see inner workings of the Empire and grass roots of the rebellion. Looking forward to hearing your take

With Mando, it’s really season one which is by far the best cuz it was such a breath of fresh air and it came right after the trilogy which was clearly done by someone who doesn’t love Star Wars, and Mando was the opposite. Like if someone asked, « what goes on behind those doors? » in most SW movies. IG droid in action was incredible too. Mando loses its magic in further seasons and is still good but not that magic of S1.

You dont remember, Luke Skywalker at his prime single handed a whole batallion of droid troppers, just bassically the whole ship, to aid Grogu... Mando removing his helmet so his boy could watch his face before he leaves with Luke to begging his training...

I decided that that was the series finale for me.

The S2 finale of Mando is what moved it from terrible to at best passable, for me. It's pure key jangling though. I don't feel the need to watch an hour of bad programming in the hopes they give Luke 5 minutes of screen time. Plus it's hard to get invested, even in him, knowing how little they care for the character.

I'm the battered with that got the **** out, and I'm already dating another person, and they are treating me oh so much better, plus they have a better job, and they're in better shape.

Sid Meyers released the Civ VII Gameplay Showcase. They also revealed the narrator. Some huge shoes to fill following Leanord Nemoy and Sean Bean but I love the choice. Such a great voice.

Hey so Emily hasn’t done an animation in a long time cuz we’re on vacation so she decided to make a quick crappy 6fps one highlighting original characters that she’s scrapped



I’m just blown away by her creativity cuz I’ve never even come up with one original character. Meanwhile she’s chugging so much out like a factory that she had to say goodbye to some of the throwaway ideas

Thought some of you might get a kick out of it
