I like the 3 hills idea, but I remember that on iOs the wheel was rather slow, we should figure out a way for the king to be able to toggle the wheel faster and also a way for the current king to pass the turn if he/she is unable to play the matches.
I think we should take a look at the rules for possible changes.

B03 with sideboards sounds fun!

Actually sideboards will be awkward because the Devs said direct challenge is going to be best-of-1 only for now.

You can manually change your deck like we did in duels, but that's a pain in rear-end and you can always side-in 15 cards (or more) of hate, even if they're not really in your sideboard.

Hmmm you got a point there, on the last iOs tourney we tried multiple decks, so it may be BO3 but uou can change decks between games.

We did something like that years ago where you were required to use each submitted deck at least once.

Only reasonable way to sideboarding is that the sideboarding has to be broadcast as well and the deck you use can only swap to cards listed in its sideboard.

Only on the tourney you would be submitting deck lists, On KOTH sideboard is a no go coz you could brew the deck right in the moment, on the other hand if you have to submit your deck in KOTH things get far to complicated for a more casual mode. That’s why I think BO3 with the ability to change decks sounds like a good idea, BO3 without SB sounds silly to me now that we have played proper MTG

I was thinking, draft outside the app using something like draftsim to simulate packs, message each other about the cards left, then make the decks and challenge each other.

That sounds really cumbersome and time consuming.

Sounds pretty imbalanced tbh. But it's not easy finding a format where players with different investments are on equal grounds.

Ultimately the idea of an 8-man-draft-pod is brilliant, I even demanded it on the official forums a while ago, but for now I wouldn't jump through any hoops to simulate that.

We get Bo1 without SB as the first basic mode so I'd just take that. Maybe expand to Bo3 without SB. It's not like this was the World Cup or something, right?

Organized play with B01 sounds awful to me, for a match to happen you are going to have to schedule both players agendas and that sounds a lot more easy that it is... going all the trouble for B01 sounds just bad to me.

A tourney is for the spikes, KOTH is the more casual mode and if we take Pure suggestions we could run 3 hills at the time, each one with different modes so we can keep things fresh, the idea behind this is precisely to balance players collections, hell we could even have one starter decks run.

BO3 without SB does not sound that good to me now... it used to make a lot of sense... but not anymore.

In the end, anyone who is willing to take the time and effort to run any of this events has the final word, discussing the details of this out in the open is a recipe for disaster... IME.
