Chromium has nothing on Plaguecrafter, 4 of those on the SB and its pretty much the end of the road for Control, I like the Abzan version the most, Knight of Autumn is very worth the splash, that girl is so flexible!

Are you saying Plaguecrafter can deal with Chromium? Because while that's true in a vacuum, the fact Chromium is coming down during the opponent's end step, he will be backed up by countermagic once control untaps. Really, the only drawback Chromium has is that he requires Esper colors, so if Jeskai wanted him as a finisher, they'd need to stretch their mana base to 4 colors (without the aid of cards like Aether Hub).

Magic's a simple game, 2 people take turns playing cards and in the end Divinevert wins 2-0...

A little GY hate does wonders against that deck, and the Boris pile is very aggressive with Phoenix and Karn you can grind some games

Does it though? It hurts Findbroker, but most Golgari decks just use high value creatures on their own.

I find the recursive part of the deck paramount, Find //Finality, Memorial to folly, Findbriker and Eldest Reborn makes the deck so freaking resilient its just dumb

I think control has very low exchange rate vs the deck threats if you manage to have a counter or two thet have lots of ways to replay the Plaguecrafter

So RW aggro takes the Guild of Ravnica pro tour. Pity about the LSV mull to 4 on the final game. So aggro dominates again with what around 6 of the Top 8 decks running RW. I get that the lifegain strategy can be telling but in Arena, certainly at lower tiers I would not have considered Boros aggro as being the biggest deck to worry about. SD

I would not say aggro completely dominates standard. This list says a lot more than the Top 8 which is to a large part based on draft results: https://magic.wizards.com/en/events/cov ... 2018-11-11
Seems like a pretty diverse meta to me!

Jeskai, Izzet, Golgari, Selesyna Mono R and Mono U. Agree pretty diverse but it’s still the case that the RW aggro builds were favoured by those hitting top 8. SD
