They really just need a way to allow us to build decks outside of their client. The graphical stuff is nice and all, but I'd really just like a way to import lists somehow. Their stuff will always take too long to use imo.
A deck editing companion app wouldn't go amiss.

I don't see why not its easy to port to any console

Main issue that I see with console ports is the paying online service on top of microtransactions, and the shared collections.

Mechanics-wise, I've always felt confy when playing past DotP on my xbox controller. Not an issue at all; expecially when compared to mobile screens having to scour between endless tokens on a crowded board.
HS solves the boardstate clunking with a low cap on existing stuff, MtG can't do that if they want to keep a true MtG experience.

Personally, I wouldn't see this coming on consoles at all.
They jumped Playstation and Androids due to past developing issues, but now it's another thing altogether.
That's not a problem on console. Judging by how many online p2w games we have on Xbox you'd think we LOVE microtransactions >:(.

Pirates and dinosaurs. We have gone full 8-year old in this set. Also there's Mardu Vampires and Simic Merfolk but nobody cares. But hey- shirtless Jace. Jace the mind Body Sculptor..

Using my Xbox One controller to play Magic Duels on my PC worked just fine. I'm sure if anyone here has a preference for a controller they could just plug it in.

For me gaming on console isn't so much about using a controller, it's about comfort and convienence - being able to chill on my couch and view on a big screen.

Actually, the minimum specs for the PC look a little inflated to me. I5 Processor for a ccg? Hmm... 1 GB graphics card... A lot of more portable pcs aren't up to those specs, strange if you consider the clients are supposed to have Mobile versions...

Doesn't mean much at this point, but I did find that kind of odd.

Not seen minimum specs, though I saw recommended specs that did seems high for some reason.

Now, I signed up for the beta but have yet to receive and email from Wizards. Have they not rolled it out yet?
That's not the impression I'm getting here.
Edit: Nevermind. I see now that I am to expect to hear from them in the next few days.

It seems heavier that the competitors on the market.
We can hope that past the betat they'll be able to tone requirements a bit down, but higher spec is usually an issue for new studios developing stuff.

My 3 years old laptop would still run it, tho.

Besides that, one guy attending Hascon is reporting that we are able to craft singles in Arena, but he isn't providing any steady source, so it's half a yay for me.
Although in this day and age, digital singles need to be crafted and purchased one way or another.

If proved right, guess we can kiss Duels's booster system goodbye for good.
It's MTGO without trade.

After talking with several of the developers, this is the real deal, folks. They aren't putting out anything new yet, but they are asking questions and engaging with the community at large...something as you know the last guys weren't very good at.

Oh I suppose it does say minimum resolution but the overall thing is labelled as recommended so are these really minimum specs? Does that mean the game will be 64bit only?

I dunno, at the start of Duels's life they promised big things as well, hope your right but it wouldn't be the first time they've been very ambitious at the start of a lifecycle

Actually, it would be. This is different, NH...Chris and Drew talked to us.

This team (I've chatted with 4 already, maybe more on Monday) is talking WITH us, engaging and asking questions, discussing things they can discuss at this time.

Complete tonal shift and direction.

Are you allowed to say how you got in touch with the devs?

The developers are available on the discord chat to answer questions about the game to the community. I'm talking with one right now, and its 9 PM EST. Click the link under kryders name and sign up, THAT INCLUDES YOU CGB.

I have to say that I'm feeling a lot more positive about the direction of things since this preview.

We're basically going to have a souped-up Duels offering Standard, which is great.

I just hope my coins migrate over... what are the chances of that do you think?
