New avatars aren't really catching my interest for the prices, especially while my card collection is incomplete and I've got Karn as a color-neutral option that lets me avoid giving too many clues to my strategy before mulligans. I went and got the Sol Ring card sleeves though. The guild sleeves are beautiful, but I have issues with taking any of them, as it either gives away too much information, or is dishonest, unless it's Dimir, but then that is just pointlessly advertising the dishonesty, so I like that they included Sol Ring as a neutral sleeve option.

I'm divided on this. It's been asked 100 times over, lets get something to spend our ingame gold on. That was back in DoTP days, where the Free-to-play model awards were perhaps a little generous. When I left the last Duels behind, with a full collection and probably 100k gold, I had bought everything that I possibly could.

Now Mtg Arena, I find that even in this beta state, it has far fewer bugs than even the best duels, rule violations get patched (!) and I figured I wanted to support the game and spend a little less time grinding. So I dropped a few $ on the intro pack and 40k gems. With that as a starting point, and the daily quests, I'm still miles and miles away from completing even 1 set. I don't even have all the rare lands yet, let alone all the rares to make the tier1 decks. Granted, I blow wildcards on jank, but I digress. My point is, they have made a game where you can't really complain that you got all the cards too easily.

And now cosmetics. With the bottomless pit that is card-collecting, I don't see myself ever spending anything towards cosmetics. New sets will keep dropping, and I will never be able to keep up, even if I drop 20k gems each set.

I suppose that means I shouldn't ever get bored with it either, as it will constantly have something to achieve.
