Funny, I just built and played some with Nighthawk's Naya Humans deck yesterday. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QEbYRZan9gE In your version, I'd be a little worried about Brawler and Captain with the manabase. No fastlands makes something like that very difficult to pull off. Before set release I was brewing up a list similar to yours but abandoned it because of manabase concerns. How's it doing in practice for you? |

With 14 white, Always watching can be cast by turn 8. Many creatures require synergy to be good, like the two captains, glory bound, thalia's leut, when they drop individually slowly they don't pose big threat on their own. Opponent can casually wait a couple turns and languish. When I think about 3 color aggro, why jund energy works but none of the rest do? Brawler, Hellion are strong individuals as they swings for 4. Longtusk cub, siphoner, constrictor are strong individuals all those have to be removed separately quickly. They don't need double same color mana either. So really Jund can afford to go slower, fixing mana T1, ensure a strong 2 drop in T2, another 2 drop in T3 while fixing mana again, then looking to double spell from T4 and onwards. The T2, T3 2 drops demands removal, and Jund can play around sweeper. This deck has the same downside of 3 color aggro (crappy mana), but opponent feels much more comfortable facing these T2, T3 threats. You HAVE TO overly extend the board to make the creatures better. Also the key card always watching is double white, usually you have to give up early green or red to get to that, and that is... your only stronger T2 threat brawler. I tried to build around Always watching, glory bound and glorybringer too. Green out. Then you can afford to add Gideons to compensate the mid-game trackers loss. Hamlet captain isn't a loss. Brawler is a big loss but you can add more flex removals.. |

I've been testing this deck for a bit now and the mana is pretty decent, you just have to be careful with sequencing. @WoodlandWanderer All of the early creatures are stand alone threats with potential to snowball. |
