Bant Tokens V2 2 x Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter 4 x Cartouche of Solidarity 4 x Anointer Priest 2 x Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun 2 x Declaration in Stone 1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer 3 x Trial of Strength 1 x Nissa, Voice of Zendikar 2 x Mouth // Feed 1 x Oketra the True 3 x Aven Wind Guide 2 x Annointed Procession 2 x Trial of Knowledge 1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar 1 x Angel of Invention 1 x Glyph Keeper 2 x Baral's Expertise 1 x Honored Hydra 4 x Plains 2 x Island 4 x Forest 2 x Canopy Vista 2 x Prairie Stream 1 x Westvale Abbey 2 x Hinterland Harbor 2 x Glacial Fortress 2 x Sunpetal Grove 4 x Evolving Wilds This is where I'm currently at. Curve looks too bloated at the top at first glance (13 4/5 drops and a 6 drop?!?), but it doesn't play that bad in testing so far. Tokens from Cartouches help bridge. With recurrable Trials and Oviya's ability you have more options in the 3CMC range. You want to be pitching Hydra to Trial and casting for less than 6, and its fine to pitch Wing Guides and Keeper too - ok to cast on curve if you need a blocker, but best embalmed with AP in play. Baral's Expertise moves things along too. Aven Wing Guide is a force of nature in this deck. It suddenly turns your army of fat tokens into an army of vigilant flyers and wrecks life totals in a hurry. Temmet is ok (good for a 2 drop spot) but Wing Guide is nutty if opp doesn't have removal. Even if they do, big tokens should take down blockers on their way out and everything recurs so you'll get to do it all over again. Still early in testing and working things out, but I like where it's going.

Seriously TIMH, get out of my mind! I hadn't seen/considered the token support (which looks good) but your deck has a few ideas I've been thinking about. Trial of Strength, Cartouche of Solidarity, Trial of Solidarity and Anointed Procession all look fun. The Cartouches are auras so they can be fetched but I just want a way to bounce/replay or copy them after. I was thinking of an enchant theme to go with the tokens in things like Sigil of the Empty Throne but again I want to bounce/copy Cartouches to make it work and not sure if there's a consistent way to do so. elk |

Are you talking Eldrazi Displacer, Anointed Procession and things like Drowner of Hope or Eyeless Watcher (or even Brood Butcher) for tokens until your timer runs out? I still want to put Anointed Procession and From Beyond together just cause tokens (Beyond could at least find Hope, Watcher or Butcher for the combo). It'll be derpy and janky and slow but tokens (and possibly an enchant subtheme or an enchant variation could be interesting too). I need to stahp with the durdling. Like I said, dang you TIMH, get out of my head. elk |

I threw this list together and posted it some days before you mentioned that. I had talked in the notes under list about possible eldrazi/scion direction, but as mentioned when you told me bout the combo, I had been more focused on new stuff than old eldrazi. I did think about Guardian, but decided to limit my embalm creatures to just the ones that produce relavant synergies when in non-token form. I hadn't thought about Infiltrator tho. I didn't care for him much originally so I never think about him for decks - but he could be a very good fit here. Nice call bringing him up; will keep on the consideration list. I'm sure my initial rough draft will have many wrinkles to iron out before it's playable - and prob look very different in the end. |

Are they ever! And to answer your follow up question, it did hurt when I fell from Heaven. Also, big fail points for forgetting to put Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter in that OP list. Giant x/x tokens are exactly the type of thing I want Temmet to push through. Was in my head when I first thought about Bant tokens with Temmet and Wing Guide - can't believe I forgot it when tossing **** together... +2 Oviya -1 Sandwurms Convergence (yes I really wanted to have this and AP in play together, no I wouldn't ever be able to actually cast it) -1 Reclamation Sage |

Finally put the list together. Actual first build looked different, and 1st wave of revisions in OP now. I expected this deck to be pretty bad but maybe fun. However it's outperforming my expectations so far and it is really fun. |

I either just fought you on steam or someone netdecked this one ^^. He got down t3 nissa t4 anointed procession. I had t2 advocate t3 rogue refiner, t4 tamiyo kill nissa, then he started to go off with anointed procession. Trials and cartouches..... Still easily won thanks to tamiyo and caracal into Angel of Invention into craterhoof behemoth. Looks like a fun deck if you get procession down on curve; but pretty underwhelming otherwise. |

I've been playing around with the trials, eventually ending with bant as my favorite build. Ended up with a very similar deck to the OP. A few notes from my experience - Enchantment/ Token synergy is really powerful in the current meta - so sigil of the empty throne became a must in my build. I run 5 cartouches (3 white , 2 blue)and 6 trials (3 green, 3 blue). Trial of knowledge has been a winner if I can get it down safely, the discard outlet doesn't hurt as we have recursion in most of our creatures. Seems simple but adding a few sacred cats really helps make it to t4-5 which is what this deck needs to get its engine rolling. I'd almost prefer them over most of the 5 drops to secure we make it that far in the game. Once the token engine starts rolling it's just a matter of time anyways. I've thought about adding a few cards and would love your opinion - invocation of Saint Taft (synergy with sigils, procession, and temmet- maybe a one of, but could end games? Seems like win more if tokens are rolling tho... -the 2 cmc monument that does damage based on how many creatures are tapped. It doesn't fit with wing guide, but it could be a game finisher. |

I redid Simic Trials in another deck I like better. It's more like the Rhonas story mode deck. I'll share that list later when I can access my decks. This one is fun when it gets the right draw, but it has issues when it stumbles early by being too crowded in the 3-5 mana spots (counting embalm costs and activated abilities). Adding Sacred Cats might help a lot, as both it's normal and embalm costs are cheap. I'd be interested to see your build. I don't think Throne of the God-Pharaoh is right here. In mine I don't win by accumulated small points of damage, I win with Wing Guide or Temmet giving evasion to beefy tokens that hit for big chunks of damage. Typically I don't like St Traft unless I'm running hexproof or indestructible creatures, but there have been exceptions. With Sigil it might be ok - need to see how the rest of your list looks tho. |

Invocation of Saint Traft can be really good on an oketra, or if the selfless spirits are included for sweeper protection. Here is my current pile- with a few of my toss up cards that I can't decide on: 1cmc - 6 total Sacred Cat x2 Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter x1 Cartouche of Solidarity x3 2cmc - 8 total Selfless Spirit x2 Anointer Priest x4 Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun x2 Cartouche of Knowledge x2 3cmc - 7 Trial of Strength x3 Mouth Invocation of Saint Traft x1 Nissa, Voice of Zendikar x1 4cmc- 9 total (clunky thus the 25 lands) Aven Wing Guide x2 Anointed Procession x2 Trial of Knowledge x3 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar x1 Tamiyo, Field Researcher x1- can you imagine getting an ultimate off with a few trials on the board? Must....see....happen 5cmc - 2 total Sigil of the Empty Throne x2 6cmc- 1 total Honored Hydra x1 Cards in question Selfless Spirit- the deck can recreate itself pretty easily, but the plan B always makes me feel better. Oketra- seems like a great fit, but 4 spot is so clogged. She is a great target for invocation. From Beyond- this deck could easily turn into an ulamog deck, as the annointers can stall the game Emrakuls Evangel- would be fun to turn those 1/1's into to 3/2's Rhonas- not sure on how consistently my deck gets to 4 damage creatures. Pious Evangel- alternate wincon if flipped? Throne of the God- Pharaoh - interesting potential game ender if we go small woth tokens. |
