Ah, Elk had to spoil the surprise. I actually started brewing a revolt abzan based on tokens with exactly what Elk said + Aid from the Cowl, Angelic Purge (it's awesome, hits almost everything), Bone Splinters, Smothering Abomination, Carrier Thrall and Blisterpod. Call for Unity is nice, but extremely slow. Still, with all the removal it's very easy to get to the late game.

It's extremely hard to pick the right cards, there are so many I wish I could play.

I'm totally in, of course...but we need some conditions, like a minimum number of revolt cards...

I think that for each type of deck we should create a topic in the constructed forum called for example '[DBC] Revolt Challenge' and then people submit their versions in that and it also serves as a nice repository for those type of decks. DBC =Deck Building Contest in case you didn't figure it out :)

What about a minimum of 9 Revolt cards, 1/4 of the standar number of cards in a deck, so the build can be called properly revolting? :)

Not difficult, taking in account that the Pushes and the Ralliers are almost obligued...we can go 8 if you wanna be relaxed, or 10 if stringent...outside those boundaries, I think it starts to become a bit too lame or janky, imo

Let's treat this week as an experiment. If people like it we can continue and move it in the subforum.
About the constraints, i saw that there are about 8-9 revolt cards in every deck already posted, i think it's better to give more freedom this week and see if some decks go too far from the (sub)theme. They can also naturally fit in the boundaries you wrote.

abzan revolt *editted*

_I modeled this deck off of LSV's BG Crats deck from the SOI Pro Tour in which he made top 8. Just substituted a few cards like Collected Company & Zuluport for Pious Evangel & Treasure Keeper. Enjoy!

EDIT: Upon testing I found that Duskwatch Recruiter & Pious Evangel did little work for me. Everything else was great! Swapping in Carrier Thrall & Fleshbag Marauder. However, Pious might go back in...idk.

I think I only run 7, plus about 9 enablers, because my deck is GW, not Abzan, so there just weren't more payoff cards with good payoff.

Treasure keepr has nothing to do with what collective company could do in that deck :D It's cute though, but comparing it to the absolutely absurd things that pile could pull off with a few dorks and ormendahl lands and husk thanks to C company and cutthroat is offending to the beauty andfun that was that deck :D

Druid > Treasure Keeper > Husk (sac) > get Renegade Rallier (get Evolving Wilds/2 drop at instant speed)

When i decided for color constraint i thought i would see pretty much the same deck with few different cards. It's nice to see very different deck till now, with the same colors for everyone is easier to compare the decklists.

@Vert Anguished Unmaking makes your deck an actual Abzan deck.

In the loosest definition, sure. The same way that Tamiyo makes my Azorius deck "Bant", but I agree. I run 2x black gold cards.

My entry...I thought it would be nice to post another different build that the one in the thread I made in the Constructed subforum :)

That way I'll see if I managed to brew a competitive deck in a couple hours haha...will it work, this horrid mixture of Energy, counters and Revolt?

Spoiler

Maybe :D

Btw, I think it should be a good idea to limit the number of entries, or to make groups of half a dozen, tops...so it's realistic to playtest them in a week

Also, if there are 6 participants, for example, I'd give 21 points to spare, so you can award 6 to your favourite, 5 to the 2º etc till just 1 to your least liked...that way the results will be more informative, and the shame more intense for the last classified...loser!! (now I'm temptimg Murphy or another of those cruel deities...better I stfu...)

Interesting idea. For this week i want to leave the possibility to anyone to post their decklist, and then decide how to organize the poll.
Maybe 21 points are too much for the poll, but i could see something like 2 points to the most competitive, 1 point to the funniest to use. When we will have the precise number of partecipants it will be easier to find a fair way to judge them all.

So here is my entry, a revolt enchantment combo control deck. I have been playing enchantment control for the last few weeks and wanted to try this abzan version using revolt triggers.

I just haven't had time to really tune-test this deck so I was hesitant to post it. Auunj and Elk were already mentioning the win cons to this deck so I figured I better put my hat in the ring now.

Revolt of the Enchanted

Is it ok to edit our submission? I feel like this brew needs a little more time in the oven. Thanks for coming up with this idea Giocher, i love it.
