The more I play the more bugs I discover.
I have also discovered that submitting bugs to the "team" has no effect.
The bugs do not appear on their bug blog, nor do they get fixed.
So I have stopped submitting bugs to them :(

However, I do not think the community should be ignorant of the bugs. Perhaps if more people submitted the same bugs that I discover wotc would fix them.

A month ago I submitted a bug with power conduit. power conduit can reset the game for the controlling player. Life hand timer, everything! play until you win. I won't reveal how you use it to do this as players might cheat with it.

I also reported gaea's blessing, the second time you play it it will not work. Had they fixed that they might not have had to pull "memory's journey" from the innistrad flashback events.

This weeks bugs, which I will not be submitting :
Realmwright Allows you to choose deserts but always changes your choice to black. Useless.
Choice of damnations : If this is played against you choose 1. You will only lose 1 life, opponent cannot choose other option.

These cards never used to be bugged so I assume that the new sets interfere with these mechanics and introduce bugs.

This poor design is obviously not robust and simply means that the overall product will become more unstable with every set addition.
MTGO is doomed!

I think there are a lot of special cases built into card code, more so in the earlier years, and when they make a low-level, systematic change, like, for example, they did for the mana system, things break. Which is basically what you were saying, only it's not mechanics but individual cards.

Some time back, I submitted a bug involving Boom//Bust, when you were not able to choose the Bust part of the card if the condition for playing Boom for free was met (I'm pretty sure it was a bug, since the correct behavior was posted on the judge blog.) No reaction. And this at a time when the interaction was being tested for top-level tournament decks.

The blog is basically a CYA device: hey, it says right here that this does not work. So it's your problem if you're playing it regardless. Next time, prepare better!

I just find it more interesting that they prefer to spend time banning people for using the broken stuff in a broken way rather than fix the broken stuff.

It is all about the noise to signal ratio. That and the wheelhouse issue.
