Hello posters of the MTGO board. Some of you may know me, most not; I have been posting on these forums (and on the mothership when that was still a thing) for a while, mostly on spoiler discussion and YMTC. I'll go straight to the point: I am living in Japan alone, I was saving to buy a PC somewhere this summer, but last week my old **** laptop I was using in the meantime just stopped working entirely and now I am forced to act, but I am not entirely ready. So I need to gather money from all possible sources. Including selling my MTGO collection. I used the mtgotraders list to get a quote on my collection, they gave me a $150 offer. I don't think it's terrible, given how easy the process is, but I don't think it's what my collection really is worth, either. So, what I'm asking is, is anyone here willing to give me a better offer? Get some sweet cards (including a foil Snapcaster) while also helping a fellow NGAer out? I have attached the .csv file to this post, in order to check the contents of my collection. If that doesnt work for some reason, let me know so I can upload it somewhere else. Thanks! EDIT: sold

Sorry to hear about your troubles but hope things get better. Just keep working through them. Not sure if you are going to get a much better offer. I think the bots work more on volume of trade rather than margins. Also its safer to deal with them as there has been issues of people using fake or stolen accounts to pay for cards then you are out the money and the cards. |

Honestly looking at a glance $150 seems quite fair. Snapcaster was a big card for a while but it dropped significantly recently. And foils are being treated as if they carry disease since they look awful in the client. Sorry to hear you have to sell out (again?), hopefully eventually you will be able to get back into it. |

Thanks, yeah I thought I might have to take mtgotraders offer anyway but also might as well try. Really? I assumed the average NGA poster that hasnt joined after I made this thread would be safe to deal with, no? Will reply back to their email after I'm home from work today, thanks anyway winter wolf: nah it's my first time. Unless you count paper magic cards, then yeah I had to sell all my cards (including some fetchlands) 2 years ago way under the actual because I needed money immediately. felt bad man |
