This announced today: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/ar ... 2016-02-15 Found this interesting: "Eternal Masters will be releasing on Magic Online June 17 and will be available until July 6. The digital MSRP will be $6.99. It will not be available for redemption." I haven't been paying as close attention lately, but is this the first time MTGO gets a lower MSRP than paper?? |

Yep. Could be interesting. Could also just be a huge cash grab. $9.99 msrp seems steep but then I thought MMA2 was overpriced as well. (I should note that the msrp was listed as $9.99 in all the sources I've seen except that which may be a confusion between paper and online.) |

I believe MM2 was also below MSRP online. |

While I welcome the difference between offline and online prices they are still too steep imho. Priced because they think people will pay extra for a lottery. But FOW is no longer $150 @ and Wasteland is no longer $100+ so those two cards do not a lottery make. |

I think it depends more on the commons and uncommons. MM1 was a grand hit because it put so much value there. They just needed to add more money in the rare and mythic slot. Instead MM2 took the money out of the commons and uncommons and jammed it into the mythic slot. We shall see how much they learn on this product from the backlash on MM1 and MM2. Also it depends on how fun the format was. I had a blast with MM1 and Vintage Masters. MM2 was kind of meh. |
