We have known for some time now that Wasteland would be in the expedition set included in the next set called Oath something https://m.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comment ... _spoilers/

So you get it by opening boosters from the next set.

Spoiler season got kind of destroyed by the leak stuff at WotC. I am sure WotC would have loved to spoil Wasteland as an expedition at Christmas eve.

That was the plan anyway, I am sure.

Ok, now I guess I see why Wizards was so upset at leaks. If I hadn't already known about it this announcement would have been exciting. Since I already had the information, when they deliver the information like it is some huge gift it really falls flat.

I don't disagree that the leaks deflated excitement in the general mtg public but honestly I am not sure Id be excited by this anyway. At least not more than a few moments.. The expeditions have been priced way beyond availability for me in paper and the fact that they are only "foil" online makes them undesirable. Nevermind playing the tax for the dumb aka the Lottery.

I like this kind of stuff. It's not affecting how much I draft, but it add a bit of excitement to that first pick.

I like expeditions. They should do it all the time and not just with Lands. Put in the most expensive modern legal cards as expeditions.

Hopefully it would have a small price impact. I dont know how much the price impact was for the last round of expeditions.

Not noticeable. I looked at Scalding Tarn, which IIRC is the most expensive one, and it dipped right after the release, but is now higher than it was. And the Expedition is just 10% more expensive (46 and 50 tix, respectively).

Paper, of course, is something else.

I didnt even know Scalding Tarn was a Zendikar expedition. I havnt drafted that set. Ok, so the price impact have not been too good. They should increase the likelihood of gertting one.

They did but they also increased demand because of the full art.

I wish that they would replace the useless basic land with something else. Seems like a great place for an expedition card.
