Are those expensive creatures or what? I really wish WotC had somehow managed to implement multiplayer commander drafts for these... Or even multiplayer "vanilla" FFA games.

This sounds like a lot of fun. And the prizes seem to promote the fun aspect (no way to consistently turn them into tickets), so maybe Spikes will stay away, or at least let their Timmy out to play.

I hate thinking I'm basicly getting lottery tickets as prizes instead of draftable packs. But as these will be the only way of getting the new Commander cards... >sigh<

Hmm ... won't the decks be available in the store? Anyway, you will certainly be able to trade for the cards.

Sadly no. And there is no guarantee that the new cards will be reasonably priced because of that.

Personally I am hoping there is some card in this that gets played heavily and it shoots up to $300 or something absurd. That way they are forced to change back to selling them.

So I tried this out last night and enjoyed it. I think 3-0 ing helped. I was passed the rings monolith Emrakul combo. Which I finally was able to put together the final match of the final round. Luckily my opponent let me go through it but sadly they scooped before I got my extra turn. Other than that I believe I hard cast Emrakul 3 times. I was running some UBR monstrosity but still was able to pull through. Possibly due to some lucky draws which I will take for a change.

It looked like there was a bit of an agro R and/or W deck. Luckily the pod I was in did not really go for that otherwise my durdle deck probably would of folded to it. I did have bonfire and Engineered Explosives so I might have stood a chance.
