Couldn't it have been +2 at least? It's like a +1 health, but highly limited War Leader. what the hell |

Silly Mown, free cards can't be good. Warsong Commander is the next Starving Buzzard. |

Or they could have made it a 2-drop. Hot damn, I also managed to make Warriors better in Arena by giving them another okay 2-drop, what kind of sorcerer am I. I still don't understand why Buzzard wasn't just errata'd to say "whenever you play", it would make it so much less tragic when you get it from Webspinners and LnL. |

This proves that Blizzard is terrible at balance. They leave Patron in a super strong state for the longest time, and then they just kill it. There were so many easy ways they could have toned down Patron. If they were going to kill it they should have done it earlier I think. |

Yeah, I don't get it. I'm used to having my face stomped in by meta netdecks. Secret Paladin, Dragon Priest, and most Face Hunters destroy me. Of the "top decks", Patron was the one I could actually beat, and generally had the most fun playing against even if I lost. Surely it wasn't somehow the most powerful and dominant of the lot? Likely, it was simply the one that had an easy kill switch. But then, if long-term problems punctuated by random and arbitrary nerfs and buffs that often fail to address the actual issue wasn't the order of the day, it wouldn't be Blizzard. I love the company most of the time, but they balance games by the Look at me, I'm the DCI methodology. |

It will likely change again next season. But this kills all fun decks. Should have been like -1 health on patrons or something. |

Likely, it was simply the one that had an easy kill switch. Patron Warrior has a significantly higher skill cap than those decks, which makes it underperform on ladder. It also goes against one of Blizzard's tenets, which is that decks shouldn't be able to reliably burst you dead from an empty board state, although Warriors typically need a 1-charge Death's Bite to do it. |

Patron is definitely the best deck. It's harder to pilot than most other top decks though, because of all of its complex decision trees (some of which span multiple turns). A bad Patron player will do much worse compared to a good Patron player than if they were both playing Face Hunter, for example. |

I love the company most of the time, but they balance games by the Look at me, I'm the DCI methodology. The reasons the decks you listed stomped your decks is because they are burn and tempo decks, which heavily punish you for not maximizing every turn. Secret Paladin and Dragon Priest just have an insane curve, and Face Hunter puts you on a hard clock unless you have heals and taunts. Patron is the best deck for a few reasons. It is a combo deck that's combo activator is Whirlwind effects, all it has to do to do decently against aggro is play Armorsmith. Aggro decks are supposed to punish control decks, and the way Patron plays makes that much harder. It would be like if the best combo deck in MTG's combo relied on playing Lightning Helix and cards similar to it. It is consistent. Battle Rage is a pretty abusable, and Acolyte of Pain is just as natural of a fit as Armorsmith. It also is filled with Grim Patron activators and doesn't necessarily need all its combo pieces to win. Warrior just has some of the best tools for controlling the board, two great weapons and Execute. |

Aww. I really liked that card as it was. Now, it seems that it has very little, if any, uses. |

Given the choice between "kill Patron" and "never make any more cool or escalating minions with 3 or less attack", I would also choose the former. Charge is the most powerful ability in HS*, far stronger than its equivalent in Magic (due to the fact that the attacker makes all the choices). Effects that give it to cards that don't already have it should be kept firmly in check, global ones doubly so. *Immune and Mega-Windfury notwithstanding. |

Thaurisan is used in things, dragons sometimes, and having all the cards means when nee cards come out that break old ones you dont have to farm too much. |

Yeah, dragons got Whelp and Corrupter from BRM. Not to mention Quick Shot, Imp Gang Boss, and Flamewaker. I was mostly joking. Still Naxx is probably the stronger of the expansions. It has one of the most defining one drops (Zombie Chow), and two of the most defining two drops (Haunted Creeper, Mad Scientist) in the game. Zombie Chow and Scientist are actually two of the best cards in the game. There are also staples like Death's Bite, Dark Cultist, and Void Caller, which are all played in over half the decks of the class they belong to. Then you got tech cards like Belcher and Loatheb, and cards that see play in certain decks like Webspinner, Egg and Shade. Then on top of that you got Avenge which is necessary for Secret Paladin and Duplicate which is a Scientist target in some Mage decks. And I've seen Ooze, Deathlord, Wailing Soul, Unstable Ghoul, Dancing Swords, and Kel'Thuzad all played in constructed at some point. |
