I don't want to enter the argument about whether it's overpowered or not, I just wanted to make it "visual". Even if I haven't seen the original concept I'm pretty sure that it was Sindragosa, because the effect really fits.

Yes it was Sindragosa.

A 7/4 with pirate tag or deathrattle costs 5 mana. And both are really crap. So it's reasonable to say that a 7/5 vanilla no tag would also be worth 5 mana, and even then it might not see much play because a 5/5 with ability is just BETTER. So we can say Baron Geddon's effect is worth 2 mana? Which obviously isn't true. Baron Geddon's effect is obviously worth more than 2 mana, but gets a heavy discount because it's on a 7 drop. Which is kind of the point. The biggest creatures have to have really powerful effects to be relevant, which is kind of what they've been doing recently.

Similar, an 8/8 is worth almost, but not quite, 7 mana. It would not be playable at 7 mana, but it would be better than Boulderfist Ogre at six. But to be blunt the game could easily survive an 8/8 at 6 mana, since the only ones we currently even see a lot are giants, fel reaver, and alex. But let's say seven mana. Then again, a freeze and 2 damage to everything, giving up the recurring, doesn't seem to be that big of a deal for 2 maan, especially since it's on a 9 drop instead of a seven drop so the ability is allowed to even be a little bit better.

Freezing everything is perfectly fine at 9, possibly even weak since it hurts you as much as your opponent.

Now I'm invisioning a combo deck where you freeze everyone the B silence your stuff abd win.

Freezing all your own dudes is bad design. Just tack a Blizzard on it. But really Sindragosa should have been a 9/9 for 9 that summons 3 3/3 Twilight Bombardiers, like how she worked in WoW.

that feels too similar to the druid power. I know it's different in that it ducks taunts while druid can attack creatures, but if they're introducing new classes it has to be something that feels fundamentally different, not just a slight tweak on an existing thing.

Secrets doesn't help with that. If anything it only makes it worse. (Why?! NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.)

I was thinking Secret: At the beginning of your turn, draw a card.

Secret: Whenever your opponent attacks one of your dudes, your dude gets +4 attack this turn

Secret: Whenever your opponent plays a card, the next card they play this turn costs 1 more

Secret: If your weapon would be destroyed, instead reduce it to 1 durability

Etc.

DK hero power could be a spell version of shaman's hero power, with different spells that represent the different DK presences.
