I'll be updating this thread soon with my Annihilation deck (WBR Control), but you know what... maybe I should list the one I'm already using right now. It seems pretty different than the ones you all are using.

ANNIHILATION

Creatures:
3 x Akoum Stonewaker
1 x Pilgrim's Eye
1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Akoum Firebird
1 x Hixus, Prison Warden
2 x Gilt-Leaf Winnower
1 x Emeria Shepherd

Non-Creatures:
1 x Reprisal
1 x Twinbolt
1 x Rolling Thunder
1 x Complete Disregard
1 x Sheer Drop
2 x Solemn Offering
2 x Radiant Flames
1 x Touch of the Void
2 x Languish
2 x Rising Miasma
1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
2 x Planar Outburst
1 x Angelic Edict
1 x Ob Nixilis Reignited
3 x Into the Maw of Hell

Lands:
1 x Plains
1 x Swamp
1 x Mountain
2 x Shambling Vent
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Clifftop Retreat
2 x Isolated Chapel
2 x Dragonskull Summit
4 x Boros Guildgate
4 x Orzhov Guildgate
4 x Rakdos Guildgate

You speak of total control, well look well upon this list! How many man-lands, how many Razorfoot Griffins, how many Dauntless River Marshals have I crushed underfoot, broken and burning while 3/1 hasted tokens applied pressure without committing me to the board? I cannot say, for the numbers of the dead are beyond measure. Simply know that this list is among my most favorite to wreck the AI's day.

Wait a second.

Gaea's Revenge reads "Gaea's Revenge can't be the target of nongreen spells or abilities from nongreen sources".

Does Necromantic Summons/ Emeria Shepherd even work with that? (So a nongreen spell/ability can not target Gaea's Revenge, but the card that summons Gaea's Revenge?)

Other than that, this is definitely an interesting list. I'm not 100% sold on Liliana as I think she might be tough to flip, but her PW side is awesome for the deck, no ifs ands or buts.

Yes, as Gaea's ability only is in effect when it is on the battlefield.

This is interesting but i'm concerned a deck that relies on discarding cards from your hand will quickly run out of cards. It's one of those decks that feels like there is something good lurking but we need to play test it a lot to see if it works in reality.

When we go live I will explore the Ever After/Kalitas zombie combo.

It might need a few more card draw options to keep pushing, but the reanimation tools and bitter rev seem to be enough for now.

Trying to make a RBW Vampire deck...1st attempt at a deck (new-ish player):

Bloodsuckers

Creatures (21):
2 x Indulgent Aristocrat
2 x Olivia's Bloodsworn
3 x Kalastria Healer
2 x Lantern Scout
2 x Vampire Envoy
3 x Drana's Emissary
1 x Olivia, Mobilized for War
1 x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
2x Bloodbond Vampire
2x Cliffhaven Vampire

Spells/Planeswalkers (14):
2 x Stoneforge Masterwork
3 x Grasp of Darkness
2 x Stensia Masquerade
2 x Oblivion Strike
2 x Rolling Thunder
1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
1 x Ob Nixilis Reignited
1 x Sorin, Grim Nemesis

Lands (25):
4 x Plains
7 x Swamp
2 x Mountain
2 x Shambling Vent
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Clifftop Retreat
2 x Isolated Chapel
4 x Evolving Wilds

This is essentially my first deck, so I am worried about a few things. Land distribution and do I have enough (too much?) removal? Or is it total crap and time to head back to drawing board?

Made some adjustments. Haven't played too many games yet, only about 5. Went 3-2. When it wins it wins easily but struggles against control when they can keep my creatures off the board. Took out the equipment and the haste granting vampire, though maybe that was a mistake...haste could still be good in this deck I guess. It was nice when I could get multiple vampires on board but all in all seemed like a wasted spot. Added some more removal with extra oblivion strike and avacyn for a board clear if I need it. Thinking maybe I should drop Olivia for Nahiri (more removal + enchantment hate) as I don't really want to be discarding unless it is late game and I can drop lands. I am not wholly sold on the aristocrat either, though it is nice to be able to sac as a combat trick to keep something alive or to avoid removal. Maybe swap rolling thunder for languish, too?

^I really like the theme/colors. My favorite deck that I'm using right now is pretty similar -- just a little more lifedrain themed than vampires.

Right now it seems that you're sitting squarely between a vampire rush deck and a slower, 3 color lifedrain deck. Both are good, but perhaps not at the same time. So you may want to lean more one way or the other.

If you want to go the aggressive vampire route, I'd drop a few of the life drainers and go for a few more aggressive early creatures and perhaps some madness cards. Dropping down to 2 colors would make the deck faster too.

If you want to go 3 colors with life drain, some good options are: x4 Kalastria Healer, x3 Cliffhaven Vampire, 3x Drana's Emissary and 3x Unified Front (draining for 12 out of nowhere is a blast).

But if you want to stick to the current theme that's cool too. I think a couple tweaks could make it a little better. Maybe just think about:

-on a typical turn, which 2/3/4 drops am I least excited about?
-Which cards do I not want in my first hand?
-Which cards do I not want to have 3 of in my hand?

Hope that helps!

I'm guessing call the bloodline is more of a madness vampire theme as apposed to Bloodsuckers is more of an ally vamp theme?

If you had noticed the [Brewing] Hell's Angels thread I did a few weeks back in the constructed section, this is the version I settled on.

:r::b::w: Come-Atme Bro! :w::b::r:

11 Creatures
1 x Kytheon, Hero of Akros
4 x Sanitarium Skeleton
3 x Heliod's Pilgrim
1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
1 x Akoum Firebird
1 x Archangel Avacyn

3 Planeswalkers
1 x Nahiri, the Harbinger
1 x Sorin, Grim Nemesis
1 x Chandra, Flamecaller

11 Enchantments
2 x Call the Bloodline
3 x Visions of Brutality
4 x Infectious Bloodlust
2 x Suppression Bonds

11 Sorceries
3 x Murderous Compulsion
2 x Avacyn's Judgment
2 x Radiant Flames
2 x Biting Rain
2 x From Under the Floorboards

24 Land
4 x Swamp
4 x Plains
3 x Mountain
2 x Needle Spire
2 x Shambling Vent
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Clifftop Retreat
2 x Isolated Chapel
1 x Dragonskull Summit
2 x Evolving Wilds

This is a JFF deck, who's goal is to get your opponents to kill themselves with their own creatures.

You want to find Brutality and Bloodlust ASAP and enchant both on an opps creature. Bonus for you if they're running something like Mage-Ring Bully or Juggernaut that does 1/2 the work for you.

Skeletons, Call the Bloodline, and pre-flip Kytheon give you endless blockers, and post-flip Kytheon gives you another Bloodlust effect to force Brutality'd creatures to attack.

Murderous Compulsion and Nahiri are there to punish opp for attacking with creatures who don't have Brutality on them. Suppression Bonds is emergency planeswalker control. Bloodline turns most of the sorceries into instants.

Sweeper package is designed to clear clutter while keeping the Brutality/Bloodlusted creature on the board. Chandra and Akoum Firebird help seal the deal - or put you ahead on damage if you're having trouble maintaining blockers vs their B/B'd creature.

Spikes will dislike the deck and insist Brutality/Bloodlust should go into an aggro deck where Brutality removes blockers and Bloodlust pumps your guy while replacing itself, and the combo is just incidental - but this is a Johnny deck that insists on winning with the combo. Hilarious and gratifying; probably one of the few times you will ever see your opp 2-1 themselves over an aura.

Might want to check your decklist again...Kozilek's Return is a mythic, so you can only have one of them.

Looks dicey playing all that life loss with only Linvala and Sorin to help you recoup it. I'm not counting Kalitas because I don't see how you protect it from removal with so few creatures of your own to pressure your opponent's removal.

There's no Westvale Abbey in the decklist but you have one at 25:27. Why would you play that card here?

Hi Kryder,

Yeah it looks like I got that wrong :D, no worries its an easy fix and also covers the feedback from Hakeem too about there being no Westvale Abbey in the decklist. Decklist should be honest representation of my deck tech now :)

Hi Hakeem,

Thanks for the feedback, yeah this deck is a little light on life gain, I can see how it would be viewed as a dicey list. When it comes to deck-building I will add a few life gain slots if any are available, but it is something I don't overly consider and maybe I should take more time to consider what life gain options I do have open, if any are even available.

The deck list should be fixed now, and as I said to Kryder above, should now be an honest representation of the deck.
I play Westvale Abbey as a way to create board presence post sweeper removal, I don't play far enough creatures to transform it, so I see it as another way to get in for some damage, as the theory is for me that some damage to my opponent to win the game through damage, is better than trying to win the game through damage, with no damage.
