This is the worst deck ever created, just as a heads-up.

Anyway, I was getting bored with Orzhov lifegain because I felt the "combo" wasn't the real focus of the deck and that it was just a midrange pile with some nice additional synergy. Since I wanted more of a true combo deck built around Sanguine Bond, I added green because of the amazing lifegain options available in that color. This deck is completely theoretical, but I am bored at work so I decided to brew it up and post it to get some laughs out of everybody. I am going to test it tonight, though, for **** and giggles.

4 x Selesnya Guildgate
4 x Golgari Guildgate
4 x Orzhov Guildgate
5 x Forest
4 x Plains
2 x Swamp
1 x Island

1 x Elixir of Immortality

4 x Lone Missionary
4 x Elvish Visionary

4 x Grazing Gladehart
4 x Cultivate
3 x Darksteel Ingot

4 x Saruli Gatekeepers
2 x Rhox Faithmender

2 x Sanguine Bond
2 x Species Gorger
1 x Baneslayer Angel

2 x Planar Cleansing

2 x Rune-Scarred Demon
1 x Pelakka Wurm

The plan is to ramp and fix colors while defending yourself with lifegain. Planar Cleansing solves problematic boards and Elixir recycles lost pieces. Rune-Scarred is your combo enabler by fetching the missing pieces, and the Species Gorger is there to (hopefully) bounce the Saruli Gatekeepers every turn and burn them out with it, but you can also bounce Visionaries or Demons to keep the cards flowing. I'm not sure about the manabase, but I'm hoping the Ingots make the mana stable enough. They also don't get removed by Planar Cleansing because they're indestructible, which is nice.

Don't try this if you're attached to your ranking.

28 Land? (If you count the Ingots as land)

Also.. Pelakka Worm could be quite the finisher in this deck (With Sanguine Bond out and what not).

Ingots are needed for fixing, I feel, and I need to hit my land drops so I started at 25. The Visionaries could smooth that out a little, though, enabling me to cut. I did have a Wurm in there but he was my last cut. Perhaps I'll start testing at 24 land and cut a Forest to squeeze the Wurm back in. Updated.

Species Gorger, Sanguine Bond and Pellaka Wurm = a 3 turn clock.. that's a pretty cool combo. 2 Turn if the Faithmender is out.. lol.

I wish I could test this.. but I promised the wife attention all weekend.

You also get seven life with the Gatekeepers, which is the main combo and cheaper. I'm not sure if Wurm is necessary, but he's a bomb and tutorable if needed.

I'm not exactly sure how Lone Missionary was forgotten from this list. I'm going to replace the Wayfinders with them.

So how did this deck work out for you in testing, Hakeem? With this much fixing and ingots, did you ever consider just going full hog and splashing red for Anger of the Gods?

The mana was terrible; I'm going to keep trying, but the list was terrible as stated.

I was wondering if you're still relying so heavily on Species Gorger. Is it something you really want to focus on as only a 2-of with very little draw power?

I think I want to move into Bant and combo off with Angelic Accord instead of Sanguine Bond.

Why not Cloudshift instead of Species Gorger? The thing I don't like about it is that opponents tend to kill your bounce targets, making you waste a turn

Garren pretty much made a Bant build like that and it works really well. I like this build too though, you will live to see Sanguine Bond and after that you can destroy with it, lol.

Someone already posted a Bant build focused around lifegain and the angel generator. It was a pretty solid list too.

EDIT: Send a pm for the list. I posted this looking for discussion. But have decided to make it private.

Made an exalted deck with hurt&heal substrategy(?) inspired by Exalted Darkness from 2013. Not entirely sure for what format I made this but then again I have not tested it that much yet. All I know its fun to play and win with.

What is the obsession everyone has with Elixir of Immortality? It doesn't do anything. I'm not sure about Solemn Offering until I see how the meta shakes out, but if you want a spell-based answer to artifacts/enchantments then Naturalize is probably just better. I also think a pair of Suffer the Past is pretty lackluster, as well. You could maybe run one copy if you really want to but I think zero would be better.

In place of those cards you should load up on creatures from 1-3 CMC to flesh out the aggressive gameplan. Cloudfin Raptor would be a good T1 play in an Exalted deck (if you can support it) and you should round out your sets of Child of Night and Rhox War Monk.

No idea what is with the obsession. All I know I put all of them in purely out of habit since it saved my hide so many times in 4ffa.

I've had my doubts about Solemn Offering as well. I think I could replace Suffer the Past with Blood Tribute for fun&evil games

Obelisk of Alara is much better than elixir, seems sweet with vizkopa Guildmage.

Witch-Maw needs some love.

Give this deck a spin and let me know what you think, it's performed extremely well and smoothly for me. Focuses on filling up the Graveyard, and then using EtB effects with Rescue from the Underworld and Séance as you pummel the opponent.

3 x Elvish Visionary
4 x Satyr Wayfinder
4 x Think Twice
2 x Treasured Find

2 x Reclamation Sage
3 x Chill of Foreboding

1 x Rafiq of the Many
2 x Séance

2 x Arbor Colussus
1 x Shadowborn Demon
2 x Rescue from the Underworld
2 x Flesh to Dust

2 x Pelakka Wurm
2 x Rune-Scarred Demon

1 x Grislebrand

1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

7 x Island
7 x Swamp
4 x Forest
2 x Jungle Shrine
3 x Arcane Sanctum
3 x Seaside Citadel

Every creature has synergy with Séance, you have to be smart about when to retrieve your creatures from the Graveyard and when to let them fester there. Arbor Colussus can be pulled in with Séance to block and then Monstrosity used to destroy a flyer as an example.

Elvish Visionary and Think Twice obviously give you a nice way to draw into cards, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is there to stop self mill. Every other card should be pretty self explanatory, just give the deck a few games and you'll see how it syncs up. Land count may need adjusting but it's been fine for me so far.
