Premiun deck* Lets hopefully sculpt this colour combination in to something strong which I beleive it can be. The idea came to me from editing a conflux deck and deciding blue didn't fit, and to remove it and go from there. Bringing out the useful rare and mythic creatures each colour has to offer and a couple of pelakka wurms. Seance has been working well but deck could be adjusted to optimize more Creatures x 25 3 wall of omens 2 goblin rabblemaster 1 brimaz, king of oreskos 1 baneslayer angel 4 pharika's chosen 2 phyrexian rager 2 indulgent tormentor 2 rune-scarred demon 2 ogre battledriver 1 stormbreath dragon 1 inferno titan 2 young wolf 2 pelakka wurm Spells x 11 3 angelic edict 2 seance 2 anger of the gods 4 cultivate Land x 24 3 plains 3 forest 3 swamp 3 mountain 3 selesnya guildgate 3 gruul guildgate 3 orzhov guildgate 3 golgari guildgate *decklist updated This current list has been working really well in 1v1 and is fun to play, plenty of rares and abilities at play. High win rate, most losses I'd put down to wrong land types which I don't know if I care to amend. Just your usual bad hand problems really, which occurs in any deck. When a pharika's chosen or young wolf / wall of omens comes out early, you're good to stall for a couple of turns and beef up. |

Since nobody like to post in quad-color decks or conflux, i will post my build her. I really enjoy to play rainbow decks. Its core is based on my Raging Apparition 23 Lands x2 Rakdos Guildgate x3 Selesnya Guildgate x2 Boros Guildgate x2 Gruul Guildgate x2 Golgari Guildgate x2 Orzhov Guildgate x2 Plains x2 Swamp x2 Mountain x4 Forest 2 Cloudshift 4 Satyr Wayfinder 3 Treasure Find 2 Anger of the Gods 3 Cultivate 3 Darksteel Ingot 2 Saruli Gatekeepers 2 Ogre Battledriver 2 Seance 2 Angelic Edict 1 Shadowborn Demon 1 Stormbreath Dragon 1 Inferno Titan 1 Planar Cleansing 1 Warstorm Surge 2 Rune-Scarred Demon 2 Pelakka Wurm 1 Genesis Hydra 1 Griselbrand 1 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth Difference between the Naya version is the replacement of early game cantrips with Cultivates and Darksteel Ingots ramp. With addition of black, Treasure Find makes recursion possible and of course Tutoring with Rune-Scarred Demon. Griselbrand may look a little heavy, but with 8 Black Mana + 3 Darksteel, i think is fine for me. A powerfull new interaction is Rune-Scarred Demon tutoring a Cloudshift, allowing a nice protection and a delayed tutoring for a better response. |

That deck needs the full set of cloudshift it works with a lot of your creatures and is insane with threaten effects |

Monk1410 wrote: That deck needs the full set of cloudshift it works with a lot of your creatures and is insane with threaten effects Yeah, but I have no room for them. Besides, I like being able to get rid of things since you won't always see a lot of fatties hit the field like against Tokens. The closest thing I got now is Rescue from the Underworld as a sort of Cloudshift. |

RISE FROM THE DEAD, THREAD HUM DUM SHIVA. HUM DUM SHIVA Here's a reworked abzan list of mine (link to old here )
Daemonic Accord
That's there so let me explain my choices a bit -Sanguine Bond has been dropped into the yawning void. It's usually unwise to burn a Treasured Find pulling out of my Graveyard and it worked sometimes and sometimes is not enough -Angelic Accord Replaces the bonds not as the game closers the bonds (sometimes) were but as an obvious synergy to the plan already in place. I drop this before Seance because the fear this card instills. It will eat any removal that can touch it and it is often a sacrifice we are willing to make. If not it helps close the deal sooner -Battlegrace Angel in as another bomb that can be rescued or seanced to tack lifelink to a solitary mob that can be used to spawn more angels or in conjunction with Vizkopa Guildmage to win the game outright - Ground Assault replaces reprisals as slower removal but more versatile imo. This is the reason for our seemingly wonky mana selection and the reason this deck can no longer be called abzan. It's an experimental decision so far but feels right to me if not for the complete lack of flavor/lore Alright I won't call this optimal if you'd like a simple smash face deck this won't be for you. You will often make decisions to take large amounts of damage to abuse the Archangel and Guildmage together. Also be mindful of the lowered number of Guildgates and don't drop your Gatekeepers to early Tip: ramp towards black and white for Guildmage activations Questions, opinions, suggestions are welcome. |

Nice deck. I'd replace Elvish Visionary with Satyr Wayfinder to make Treasured Find work a bit like a tutor. |

I second that. I would TOTALLY run Wayfinder over visionary in this pile. |

I don't recall what exactly was in it, but I ran into a nasty Dune-Brood deck today. Seance + Warstorm Surge did bad things to me. Thought it was just Naya for awhile and then he started dropping some black bombs on me. Reanimating Pelakkas, Rune-Scarred Demons, Griselbrand, etc. Just not sure how consistent it would be. |

UPDATE: Had several games where I didn't reach 3 mana for a few turns...decided to up the land count by 1 and remove one of the Ingots. So far, running 11-2. [manapie 90 w -u b r g][/manapie] Dune-Brood Control A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015. 60 Cards (17 , 18 , 25 )

OK, played a pretty intense game last night with my deck above. My opponent used a BUG Spider deck, a over 60 cards. Epic finish. I start laying lands, dropping a Cultivate, then using Treasure Find to Cultivate again. He plays 2 Satyr Wayfinders and a pair of Tome Scours on himself, but he gets stuck on 4 land for 5 or so turns while I ramp up. I drop an Inferno Titan and kill his wayfinders, he responds with Rescue from the Grave bringing back Gris. I exile him with Angelic Edict and he draws 7 with Gris in response. I play the almighty Baneslayer and a Visionary. He plays his first spider spawning from hand (a second is now in his graveyard after being dumped there), putting down 13 or so spiders. I attack with the Angel, then play Planar Cleansing, follow up with another Visionary. He plays a Pelakka Wurm, I follow suit and we trade next turn. He is at 6 mana still when I play Kozilek, draw my 4 cards and he follows up by using another rescue from the Grave to bring a Dinrovan Horror back and returning Kozilek. I play a few removal spells, another Pelakka wurm, and an Obelisk of Alara to hold him at bay. By now, he has 9 or 10 mana, but isn't casting a spider spawning as I could blow him out with a mass removal, so he's waiting for something. He plays another Pelakka Wurm. I play Kozilek again, draw 4 cards (2 of which are Ground Assault). His turn, he plays a Rune-Scarred Demon, likely getting a piece of his puzzle to finish me. At this point, I am at 34 and he is at 14, but I know against spiders that isn't enough. So, end of turn, I use Obelisk to filter a card and get...my own Rune-Scarred Demon! I start my turn, count out mana, and I have just enough...I cast the Demon, fetch up a Anger of the Gods, cast it to kill 2 blockers on his side, use both Ground assaults to kill and remove both the Pelakka Wurms and the Rune-Scarred Demon, and finally use the last two mana to pump up Kozilek to deal 16 damage...winning the game. Anyways, just wanted to share...opponent was a class act as well. |

As I like big stompy creatures, I always enjoy to play my Conflux deck. After some games I decided to drop Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Rhox War Monk as I didn't want to draw them late game and I had my sweepers and ramp to get to the late game reliably. There was no reason to keep the blue mana just for Maelstrom Archangel. To get more card draw and stomp I ended up with a Dune-Brood deck which fares very well. At least I enjoy it very much What I want in my starting hand is Satyr Wayfinder, Cultivate or Darksteel Ingot, 90% of the time I can ramp up to something big or have a sweeper for the aggro decks. After that I want every card I draw to be something big. [manapie 90 w -u b r g][/manapie] Stomp-Brood A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015. 60 Cards (22 , 14 , 24 )

It's not needed in a deck like this. You have Planar Cleansing for wide boards and Angelic Edict for those super-tough bombs. Adding more spells dilutes the threat density and this deck really just wants to ramp up and drop the doozies all game long. |

I would argue on behalf of ground assualt over edict. here. later rounds I wanna be dropping bombs and ground assualt will far more consistently allow you to remove that threat that needs to be handled while also dropping one of your own. |

But there are opposing Kozileks and enchantments. I would argue that this deck has so much mana that five versus two basically doesn't matter when you've got thirteen lands in play. |

Post subject: | Re: Magic 2015 - Dune-Brood(Black/Red/Green/White) |
I would have to argue that both are very, very good in the deck and both are necessary. I would not play with out at least 2 of each in my Dune-Brood. If we could run 4 of each Planar Cleansing and Anger of the Gods, I could see cutting them, but, that ain't going to happen in Duels 15. I also wouldn't play with the Packleaders, since, unlike the majority of the creatures in the deck, does nothing on it's own. It is a win-more card at best. I love the Arbor Colossus, I couldn't find room in my deck but is a good inclusion, IMO. As discussed earlier, I feel Visionary is better in this deck than Wayfinder since you have so many 1-ofs, but I don't think it is an incorrect call, especially since you are running 24 lands. Speaking of which, over 1/2 of your lands are CIPT. I would assume it would be detrimental to you in the early game. |

Post subject: | Re: Magic 2015 - Dune-Brood(Black/Red/Green/White) |
Ground Assault vs Angelic Edict: I don't really miss Ground Assault. My creatures are always bigger and can stomp/block everything an opponent has, all I need to win is even more fats and Ground Assault won't kill me the enemy if there's nothing on the board. What could be considered is Banefire. I use Angelic Edict to get rid of Kozileks, Skulkers and enchantments if needed. Mana is really no issue. Everything else can be removed by Planar Cleansing or Anger of the Gods. About the taplands: I'm sure the manabase might be better, but I'm doing fine with what I mixed. I want to have all the colors available, but maybe some1 more skilled could optimize it. I'd be grateful for any tips. Garruk's Packleader: I added it and so far I like it. Except for the draw it's a 5 mana 4/4 that can help vs aggro, as 5 mana is easy to get to and it's a crucial point, especially when facing a Goblin Rabblemaster. Besides I like draw I considered replacing them with Terra Stomper and something (fe. Obelis of Alara) but still didn't decide. Maybe it might be a good idea. As always any opinions appreciated. Elvish Visionary instead of Satyr Wayfinder: Satyr speeds up your deck, allows you more consistant ramp and allows Treasured Find to shine and act more as a tutor. I really don't think Elvish Visionary is better in such a deck than Satyr Wayfinder. I played some time with 4 of each to get more chumps but in the end decided to drop the Visionaries and add more big creatures. |
