Thanks to Hakeem928 and Nebula for the method to hyperlink cards.

Have fully unlocked Ravnica, Shandalar and Zendikar because I wanted the mystical rare and they come as the last cards!!
Will probably need to update the deck once I fully unlocked Innistrad and Theros.

Also really wanted to make a vampire deck but it doesn't look like there are enough black and red vampires in the pool.

Bought 1 premium booster pack and got the following cards. (not planning to buy anymore since it is not transferable to another IOS device)

1 x Talrand, Sky Summoner
1 x Paragon of Open Graves
1 x Vapor Snag
1 x Phyrexian Rager
1 x Mold Shambler

The theme of this deck is to do quick damage from the start with Nimbus Wings and Lightning Talons onto low mana creatures like Elite Vanguard, Lone Missionary and TrueFire Paladin. TrueFire Paladin is particularly good for Aura because it has Vigilance.

By the time the higher mana creatures come in, opponent's health would have taken a big hit.

Life gain from Lone Missionary.

Mass clearance from Anger of the Gods if necessary.

4 x Boros Guildgate
10 x Plains
10 x Mountain

3 x Truefire Paladin

2 x Elite Vanguard
2 x Hero of Iroas
4 x Lone Missionary
1 x Brimaz, King of Oreskos
2 x Mentor of the Meek
3 x Banisher Priest
3 x Attended Knight
1 x Baneslayer Angel
2 x Aegis Angel

1 x Stormbreath Dragon
1 x Inferno Titan
1 x Shivan Dragon

4 x Nimbus Wings
4 x Lightning Talons
2 x Anger of the Gods

Sideboard:
2 x Burning Anger

Feedbacks are welcome

If you're posting a full deck, then you should use deck tags. Just quote my post and you'll see how they work:

36 x Mountain
16 x Island

4 x Treasure Hunt

4 x Seismic Assault

Since I had so much fun ripping apart a bad R/G aura/pump yesterday, I suppose it's only fair that I present one of my own for public ridicule. My thoughts? It can work, but most of the time it won't. It's going to take a few expansions for any kind of aura deck to be viable in my opinion.

0 (0): None

1 (22): 3x Elite Vanguard, 4x Trained Caracal, 4x Gods Willing, 3x Coordinated Assault, 4x Satyr Hoplite, 4x Furor of the Bitten

2 (15): 2x Hero of Iroas, 3x Ordeal of Heliod, 4x Nimbus Wings, 3x Inferno Fist, 3x Truefire Paladin

3 (3): 1x Brimaz, King of Oreskos, 2x Lightning Talons

4 (0): None

5 (0): None

6+ (0): None

Lands (20): 10x Plains, 10x Mountain

- On the one hand, Trained Caracalol. On the other? At least Brimaz and Truefire don't need any help to be good, right?

It seems like that deck was made for brood keeper, even if it raises the curve the power level should make up for it.

I can assure you I did not start out with Caracals in the build, haha (meaning, much like your first though, mine was Brood Keeper at the beginning). Look, the aura archetype with what you're given is not suited for any sort of long game, or even a not-so-long game. With something like this you have to fly out of the gate and hope for the best.

The power level of Keeper is hardly something to be feared. The decks that are going to smash this deck no matter the draw (any deck with a reasonable amount of removal) aren't going to care about a Keeper. The decks that can't deal with this deck's potential speed would probably thank you for slowing things down with Keepers.

Anyways, it's my opinion that a lot of people tend to gravitate towards these "just in case" cards. Things like Brood Keeper, Suffer the Past, Reclamation Sage, etc... rather than staying the course/staying focused.

I'm not one of those people.

God's Willing seems kind of mediocre in an aura heavy deck. There doesn't seem to be much else on theme that would be a good replacement; Armored Ascension would be pretty bad. Maybe cheat a little and throw in Shock.

I played against a couple of Broodkeeper decks at the prerelease today and they are pretty amazing in M15 Limited. I'm not sure that will port over to Duels or not, though.

@Zarradan:

Any elaboration on "seems pretty mediocre"? I can understand reservations with nonbo-ing with Auras vs. Red or White (obviously it's all systems go versus the other 3 colors).

The thing is, vs. white, the most popular removal is at sorcery speed (Banisher Priest and Angelic Edict so you the opportunity for blowouts is minimal. Righteous Blow and Divine Verdict require you to enter combat, though I guess Reprisal is a thing. But you shouldn't be using Gods Willing to push damage through unless you're setting up a kill and I'll trade some Auras dropping off versus my creature dying and all the Auras falling off anyways.

Vs. Red, Furor pushes everything out of Shock range and you can just remove Inferno Fist yourself for your own Shock. It gets Lightning Talons pretty good though. Hopefully by T3 your creature can eat a Bolt of Keranos and if not, I hope you didn't put yourself in a position to eat anything worse than a 2-for-1.

Hopefully things are a bit more clear for its inclusion? I actually started with the previously mentioned Brood Keepers and no Gods Willing. But here I am now.

Here's my haughty statement of the day. If you see me post a list, be sure that I've put it through its paces for at least a little bit. I don't scrub theory craft.

Let's see how much we can abuse Warstorm Surge and Cloudshift

Cloudstorm Surge

Creatures - 23
3 Wall of Omens
4 Attended Knight
2 Mentor of the Meek
1 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
4 Kor Cartographer
2 Galvanic Juggernaut
2 Ogre Battledriver
1 Baneslayer Angel
1 Stormbreath Dragon
2 Charmbreaker Devils
1 Inferno Titan

Other Spells - 13
4 Cloudshift
4 Shock
3 Reprisal
2 Warstorm Surge

Land - 24
4 Boros Guildgate
10 Mountain
10 Plains

I can't wait to play a Titan with Warstorm Surge in play. That's 9 damage upon entering the battlefield. Then cloudshift and do it again.

That curve seems really high to me; maybe play green instead of white and just add a light splash of white sources via gates to support your Cloudshift tech? I think Cultivate > Kor Cartographer, and Mentor of the Meek doesn't do a whole lot here.

Walls, Brimaz tokens, Attended Knight, and cartographers all trigger the mentor, and cloudshifting any of them except the tokens can trigger mentor too. The curve shouldn't be too bad, with Shock, Wall, Attended Knight, and Cartographer to buy me time to get things rolling.

I think it's worth a try just for the shenanigans from cloudshift and Surge.

Mobius, I said God's Willing is mediocre primarily because of the detachment of your own auras againat red and white decks. Having to keep mana open to protect creatures is difficult in an aggresive deck particularly when your looking to resolve auras precombat. I don't think it's terrible and I can understand their inclusion if you want to keep with the Heroic theme. My first impression is that other cards could be more effective in that slot but if you've tested it and you're confident that that's not the case then who am I to argue, I haven't played the game yet.

@Zarrdan:

I wasn't getting snippy, which is why I took the time to address the vs. white/red matchups where Gods can potentially be a nonbo, which was your main concern it seems. Now obviously for anyone playing this or anything similar, you have to way the pros/cons of trying to resolve an Aura without Gods backup into open mana.

It's cool to argue. I'm only mean to Hakeem because I actually sort of know him outside these boards and it's all in good fun.

...

Does anyone know how Ogre Battledriver and Warstorm Surge interact in this game? Do they trigger in the right order so you can get max damage from the triggers?

Assuming it works like previous editions it will work on a 'first played, first triggered' basis. Then again they did sort out the triggering order on a couple of things in 2014 so hey maybe we'll get lucky and it will work correctly. Heres hoping.

Hmm, at least with the "first come, first served" approach the Ogre will usually be played first due to the lower cmc.
