I think my game may be Bugged.. I've been playing since release and have not unlocked it even after winning hundreds of games... :ahem:

it may be a bug.. another user on this forum got the achievement after only 2 wins, and hes on 360 version i think. but anyway the *'s are not meant to be scientific, a number of players choose not to use the title or persona even though their ranking on the leaderboard indicates they obviously must have unlocked them.

I got the achievement after 0 wins, 0 losses.

The weird thing is that the title and persona are locked but the achievement unlocked.

Rush of Venom

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (16 :creature: , 21 :instant: , 23 :land:)

Cost 14 cards
■■■■
Pharika's Chosen1/1
■■■
Tormented Hero2/1
■■■
Prey Upon
■■■■
Undying Evil
Cost 13 cards
■■
Bloodghast2/1
■■■■
Elvish Visionary1/1
■■■■
Titanic Growth
■■■
Treasured Find
Cost 2 cards
■■
Agent of the Fates3/2
Cost 3 cards
Vengevine4/3
■■
Cutthroat Maneuver
Cost 5 cards
■■■
■■
Hunter's Prowess
Land23 cards
■■■■
Golgari Guildgate
9
Forest
10
Swamp

Information
Golgari goes aggro! This is a sort-of aggressive deck that is designed to stall when it needs to then swing big for the win. Deathtouch combined with trample is a killer combination, and most opponents (at least the ones I faced) don't seem to realize how that interaction works exactly. Basically, a creature with trample only needs to deal enough damage to a creature that is blocking it to kill it, then any additional damage is dealt to the player. For creatures with deathtouch, 1 damage is enough to kill a creature, so when you cast Enlarge on Pharika's Chosen and your opponent is forced to block with their just cast Pelakka Wurm, the Wurm will take 1 damage (and die) and your opponent will take 7. Treasured Find allows you to bring your key cards back again. Also, Enlarge on an Agent is just brutal. Prey Upon has some misadventures with the Agent (as previously mentioned in this thread), but it's not as bad as you think. If they only have one creature it's great because your Prey Upon becomes a one mana Cruel Edict. If they have more than one creature and the creature you are targeting with Prey Upon has two or more power, if they sacrifice they targeted creature then your Agent lives.

Edits
Edit 1: So, I accidentally posted this deck listing 4 copies of Elvish Pioneer instead of Elvish Visionary so I've made the change.
-4 Elvish Pioneer
+4 Elvish Visionary

Looks fun DJ, do I have a reason to play this with something substituting Pharika's Chosen?
It made me realize that I never has deathtouch trumpler in my life.
So green has the best spells that target without an hero, and aura gnarlid without a single aura?

I agree. I think Pioneer is usually not worth the slot unless you are running a full set of Cultivates, and even then I don't tend to run more than 3 in a build.

DJ I like the idea for the deck and I really appreciate the outside the box thinking for your decks.

I just tested this deck 5 games to get an idea of how it plays and without fail I had mana issues every game. I would suggest adding swamps and taking out some forests because without double black this deck can have serious problems. I won 3 and lost 2, but I feel the 2 I lost would have been completely different games with the ability to cast bloodghast and agent of the fates on curve. This deck is also lacking draw power so it can fizzle out pretty fast. The idea that you are stalling until you can enlarge is great and I think drawing those few extra cards could give a powerful edge.

The changes I will be testing:
-4 Elvish Pioneer
-2 Cutthroat Maneuver
-1 Treasure Find
-2 Forests
+2 Swamp
+3 Spire Tracer or Young Wolf
+2 Graveborn Muse or Phyrexian Rager
+2 Giant Scorpion

This is all speculation based on my observations over just a handful of games, so I will keep testing to see where I end up.

Cheers!

Oh ****! I made a mistake posting that deck list. Hehe. The 4 x Elvish Pioneer is supposed to be 4 x Elvish Visionary. That's what you get when you post a deck list late at night. Anyway, the Visionary is supposed to be there for draw and it plays really nicely with Undying Evil, whereas Young Wolf does not. I was wondering why everyone was commenting on the elf, then I realized I'd linked the wrong one. I'll update the post now.

EDIT:
Regarding the mana base, when testing my decks adjust the mana base as you see fit. Do what works for you. I would run an extra Golgari Guildgate in lieu of a Forest, but I only have three because of that glitch.

Does anyone know what happens when you Enlarge a Wandering Wolf, and they only have creatures with power <9 ?

Wandering Wolf still can't be blocked. I've tried it and it works. The key words in this arrangement are "if able" on Enlarge. Because creatures are not able to block the Wolf then they aren't forced to.

This deck has been doing pretty good: lots of tricks and traps, and a ton of card draw. Give it a try!

Undying Card-draw (Mana Curve: 7 / 8 / 16 / 2 / 3)

3 Pharika's Chosen
4 Elvish Visionary
4 Phyrexian Rager
4 Liliana's Specter
2 Agent of the Fates
2 Elder of Laurels
2 Graveborn Muse
2 Indulgent Tormentor
1 Shadowborn Demon
24

4 Titanic Growth
4 Undying Evil
4 Assassinate
12

4 Golgari Guidegate
12 Swamp
8 Forest

Okay...so this is my take on BG for D15. I've noticed some list ALWAYS by default running 24 lands. I think this is wrong given the curve and nature of the deck along with the plethora of "card draw" effects. This is why I have 21 lands. My Wayfinders will always mill 3 creatures and my Assistants with always mill 2 creatures.

The only bane of this deck would be Negate, Anger of the Gods, and a Baneslayer Angel...hint hint. Otherwise, it's fast enough to take down most control decks, lifegain decks, and resilient enough to aggressive goblin and token strategies but not against Mono U aggro strategies. I think thats all for now. Also, evasive Kiln Fiends and big unblockable green creatures like Wandering Wolf will destroy this deck...which isn't so much a big deal because those strategies aren't that common :)

I have a pretty similar list, without Treasured Find to keep the creature count maximized.
How does Treasured Find work for you? Do you often get to use it well, or does it land in your graveyard more often?

"RESURRECTION"
A library for the RESURRECTION 2015 deck (RESURRECTION)
60 Cards. 39 nonlands (31 creatures, 8 spells). 21 Lands (98).

Creature
-- 4x Pharika's Chosen
-- 4x Death Cultist

-- 2x Bloodghast
-- 4x Elvish Visionary
-- 4x Satyr Wayfinder
-- 3x Nemesis of Mortals

-- 4x Necromancer's Assistant
-- 4x Phyrexian Rager

-- 1x Vengevine

-- 1x Shadowborn Demon

Spell
-- 3x Treasured Find

-- 2x Beastmaster Ascension

-- 3x Spider Spawning

Land
-- 4x Golgari Guildgate

No fatties to drop in graveyard and resurrect? With Rescue from the Underworld for example. Then you can sac an Assistant or a Satyr to bring in say a Rune-scarred Demon and get another load of cards dumped into your graveyard to boot.

The main use of Treasured Find is to get Beastmaster Ascension out of my graveyard ftw. Either that or recur more Satyr Wayfinder effects, or grab a Nemesis of Mortals if that is that's needed to win. OR instead of flashing back Spider Spawning ONCE and have it get countered...I can now cast it for , recur it with Treasured Find and play it again, AND THEN flash it back for

Rescue from the Underworld is a 5 mana card. Therefore, by adding it you increase the mana curve...leading to me increasing the land count, ruining the mill effects of Satyr Wayfinder and Necromancer's Assistant. Also, it does not have flashback if it does in fact go into the graveyard. The "fatties" I would have brought out with it are like what...2 mana more to hardcast??? They also do not have "the nut enter the battlefield effect". All that work versus 1 Beastmaster Ascension. Recue from the Underworld is more suited for a Junk reanimator strategy where you can stall with lifegain effects.

I dunno, I use Rescue From the Underworld along with a few fatties (Griselbrand, Nemesis, a couple more) in my spider deck and it performs very well. Hell sometimes I'll use it just to pull out a Phyrexian Rager and get a second use from a Satyr Wayfinder.

On the other hand, there's never been a game I've lost and thought "if only I was running Beastmaster Ascension".

Rescue being at Instant speed means it's much more than just a graveyard fetcher. See my "hilarious wins" post about using it to remove Griselbrand from combat, winning me the game by denying my opponent first-strike Lifelink.
