Each round, the winner from the last round picks a color combination that hasn't been done yet and writes a criterion for it.

First criterion: Create a Legendary Creature from the sunny side on an epic quest to restart the plane's movement. |

10 is a lot for a non multicolor set isn't it? Are you sure you want them to be cycles? We might want those spots for some legends or something flavorful. |

Are there any nonrare multicolor cards? Most sets these days have one cycle to help with drafting. |

Number of Multicolor Cards in recent non-multicolor big sets: Zendikar: 0 Scars of Mirrodin: 1 (Venser, the Sojourner) Innistrad: 4 (1 Rare, 3 Mythic) Theros: 25 (10 Uncommon, 10 Rare, 5 Mythic) So if by "most sets these days" you mean "Theros", I agree with you. But otherwise, no. What do you guys think? Should we cut multicolor cards altogether? Add more? Change the rarities of the 10 we have? I, personally, don't want Multicolor to be entirely absent from this set. I would be down for 5-10 Uncommon and 5-10 Rares. |

My apologies. I remember Maro saying that they were being included recently because they were found to aid in drafting. I would limit the multicolor designs, but I wouldn't disclude them entirely. I say plan for a set without multicolor, but be willing to include multicolor submissions if they prove necessary/really awesome. |

I have no idea how to approach this criteria. But I sort of think that the sun/star should be a WUBRG card. |

OK, what I'm hearing from you guys is that you don't want this to be a cycle. But I like Lily's idea of Legends. So I'm just going to do this just like the other threads, except in this one, you don't have to pick a rarity because they're all rare. And you can't do a color combination that's been done already. New Criterion: Create a Rare Legendary Creature from the sunny side on an epic quest to restart the plane's movement. |

I think we should have a cycle, one where each card cares about a specific card type. I would want it to be a loose cycle, just as long as each type (bar planeswalkers) then fill in the remaining holes with awesome cards and/or planeswalkers. A nonrefined example: Artifact - URG Creature - BGW Enchantment - GW Instant - RWU Land - RG Sorcery - RB Again not refined, but just to show that by loose I mean I don't care what colors it is. |

Susiana, Sunseeker Legendary creature-- Elf Berserker Shaman Haste, trample, : [cardname] gets +1/+0 until end of turn. Whenever [cardname] attacks, for each attacking creature you control, you may search your library for a mountain or Forest card and put it into play. 2/3 |

Doesn't exactly strike me as a legend worthy of a type-matters set. I don't think there should be a strictly set number of multicolor cards for this set. Maybe 2~4 legends/mythics for whom the multicolor is due. |

I'm just digging through cards I've already created at this point. Moratorium Enchantment -- Aura (R) Flash Enchant creature. Enchanted creature can't attack or block, and its activated abilities cannot be activated. : Return Moratorium to its owner's hand. Enchanted creature's controller may activate this ability at any time. Price of Pride Instant (R) Destroy target creature that dealt combat damage to you this turn unless its controller pays :X:, where X is the amount of damage it dealt. "I guess he never heard the one about pride coming before a fall, the fool." Keening Selkie Creature -- Merfolk Rogue (U) When Keening Selkie enters the battlefield, you may return target land from your graveyard to your hand. Its song laments for its favorite rivers dried by the harsh sun. {2/2} |

So, are the only multicolor cards going to be legendary creatures? If so, we should try to start forming characters at the very least through flavortext. Also, I kinda wish there was a cycle thread again. Because some cards just get designed in / as part of a cycle. Or at least we should mention if this card is going to be part of a cycle etc. Secondly, I would like to have a little more multicolor cards in the set aside from jsut legendary creatures. I'm okay with no set amount, but some. |
