This guy is super fun... in constructed burn decks vs. creatures. I don't think he's playable in limited. How many burn spells would you need to make this worth a card? 6? You probably need to fire 2 burn spells to the face with this out, and creatures to kill. If someone dropped it turn 2 would you kill it? I guess 0. You are not sideboarding it, it's either playable or not.

I have first picked this in Limited and he was insane.

My deck had 4 Lightning Strike in it, a Searing Blood (which is real insult to injury do 2 damage to one creature, 3 damage to another creature and 3 damage to your opponent (abbreviated of course)) and a Bolt of Keranos.

Obviously, the deck was built around the card and I got lucky to get good burn spells but I think if he is in your opening pack and there is nothing particular insane then he is worth taking a risk on.

If someone does play this out against you kill it. Immediately and with extreme prejudice. Unless they are a terrible player, if they are playing this they have the deck for it.

Uh, how could you lose with 4 lightning strikes, a searing blood AND a bolt of Keranos??? I think that plus 12 Bronze Sables is a 3-0.

How they didn't reprint Lava Axe with this I'll never know.
