I don't think I'd use this as an advertising campaign for the Grixis Tourism Promotion Authority, but then I suspect I'm not their target demographic. Easy thumbs-up from me. Bad guy stories aren't generally my cup of tea, but the writing is excellent and the atmosphere is palpable. |

I think this is my favorite of the Ultimatum stories. From the slow reveal to the characterizations to the setting up the pictured scene, this is just excellent. Yeah for me. |

Bolas has quite a shadow when Quote: There is no longer even the soft touch of the sun. I found myself thinking "Okay, I get it, just get on with it" early on. I think that first section leans a little hard in the purple direction. However, it is a very nice piece; the whole buildup to the card-scene is very well crafted. I'll say Yea. |
