I'm not wild about the title, but I've had more than my fair share of questionable titles, myself. But I like the story well enough. Yea. |

I will mainly defer to my comments on the original thread, but the short version is that I'm a fan. An over-abundance of Temperances would've been my one concern, but, with that being taken care of, easy "yea" from me! |

Keeping in mind I am excruciatingly tired at the moment, and considering my headache and breath probably a bit low on oxygen, at what point should I just go "**** it" and say this is in due to no objections? |

Yeah, sadly, we are likely going to be stuck on 2 or so voters for some time here. I was really hoping that, when DavFlameRock and Yxoque showed an interest in getting back into things, it would happen, but no such luck. |

I'm not sure this is a problem we've had before but at the same time I'm not sure it isn't, but I feel like with most votes lasting 1 week but some on longer works taking, well, longer, we might want to set an extension cap before votes are called without reaching a quorum, and the procedure for handling said lack of quorum in various circumstances. Or am I too rules minded and we should just ad hoc it? |

Right this moment I'm so tired and grumbly I think we should handle this like politics: let the people who didn't vote get screwed over by their lack of action. I realize that's not the best of ideas and if I weren't so depleted I would probably balk at the idea, but as I said, my measure of **** to give is almost out for the day. |

I mean, and I speak in part in terms of setting a precedent because I naturally have a stake in the particular topic at hand, that there are only a few ways to approach lacking a Quorum 1) After "Too Much" time has elapsed (A month up here?) with no quorum met, the work is automatically rejected (though like any rejected work it may be run again) (Pocket Veto) 2) After "Too Much" time has elapsed, the vote is called returning whatever result those who did vote would give it (A and B options of what to do in the case of a tie, accept or reject, with a possible modifier for 0:0 ties if such a thing should occur) (Removal of the Quorum) 3) "Too Much" time is never considered to have elapsed; works stay in the voting forum until they're good and voted on (Current system? Risks indefinite extension) 4) After "Too Much" time has elapsed with no quorum met, the work is automatically accepted (I made this 4 and not 2 because it seems counter to the point of M:EM Voting, but if I'm getting super technical it's an option.) 5) We re-instate a M:EMperor, and if a work goes to time the M:EMperor is summoned to give the final say, with absolute authority and the freedom to ignore all other votes and conflicts of interest (Do we officially have a sitting M:EMperor?) And anything after '2' has problems. |

Sorry it's been a bit since I've weighed in. I've had stuff going on that I won't get into here. Longer works probably should have a lower quorum to time threshold as the vote wears on. My proposal is essentially that if nobody objects to it after a certain time, even a single vote should be enough to pass it. The reason for my position is logical, under the idea that the reasons we do this in the first place are for things to be experienced. As long as nobody stands in the way of it, the work has been approved of by an audience, fulfilling what it set out to do. The flipside to that is that if anybody doesn't approve... well, indefinite extensions might be preferable to outright rejection. |

So do we have a clear idea what to do with this specific vote? |

The opening post says that this was originally posted on April 10th, so it's approaching two months waiting on this. I know this doesn't mean much, since I already voted yea, but I say it should go in at this point. |

Okay, for now, I'm just going to call this Accepted, but we really need to hammer out proper procedure for this; votes have been sitting way long lately. |
