I'm cribbing this idea from another messageboard. The idea is that someone will post the first three lines of their story. Then the next person will provide a critique along with three lines from their story. And so on.
I'll start:
The Scavli'Jakaul Venjzard were a child's dream turned nightmare. Tyrannosaurlike entities with quadruple-jointed limbs and a body in flux between the solid, liquid and gaseous phases. Their needle-fangs--the only constant amid chaos--dripped gore as they fed on the uninfected marshfolk that didn't explode into greenfire when sprayed with the elemental reptiles' venom.
