Post subject:  Fear [Jazza COTM]

So Jazza from DrawWithJazz finally came out with the results of July's COTM - Fear art contest.
I didn't win, oh well.

But I was looking to share my piece, cuz I like it :p

The challenge:
Draw something that depicts fear. It can be the thing to be feared, it can be representitive of the emotion fear, it can be abstract, it can be the person shwoing fear etc. Just the mood of the piece is fear.
BUT
You can only use Black, White (greyscale), and ONE color (and any variation of that color from white to black; from saturated to unsaturated).

Here was my picture:
Shackles of Fear

I see fear as a limitation of the mind. It chains you down from doing what you want to do. Fear is paralyzing, hopeless, and alone.

Just fiured I'd share it with you guys, maybe get some feedback *fingers crossed*, and actually see if anyone else particiaptes in these things. I know there are some artists out there! Band together!

Alternately, I had another piece that I was considering which is here:
Dark Summoning

A lone figure stands amid an altar summoning a horrid demon.

==xx==

There you go. Any thoughts, critiques, criticisms or other posts are more than welcome!

The Shackles of Fear is probably my favorite piece I've seen from you.

Thanks!
I wish it were a little less fuzzy (in hindsight, it was originally intentional), but I'm pleasantly surprised how it turned out.
I also wish I chose a more red color, because the blood along the spine was a little too pink for my tastes.
I liked the lightning effect of the original, but I wanted the chains to be actually chaining down the brain, rather than restricting it.
don't judge too harshly

EDIT: Oh man that brings me back. That was close to a decade ago.
