My son (MagicMaster) has been having fun deckbuilding with AKH. He mentioned to me he was going to build an X deck (decks utilising cards with X in casting cost). Great mana sinks of course with Walking Ballista being the poster child. We never got hangarback walker in duels. Have any others built an X deck and how good has it performed?

Only time I have ever seen a deck full on x mana cost cards is when i played against the hacker on steam. It sure does perform when you basicly have infinite mana.

In general though a deck full of x-casting cost spells is too slow. X-spells are really manainefficent. In the first few turns you are much better off playing other cards. X-spells really shine lategame when you have a ton of mana to spend on them.

I think the only deck I've played where x spells are significant (outside of chucking Walking Ballista into a bunch of things) is Geistramp, as Rolling Thunder is one of the main win cons.
