Next topic: since conceding opponents give full wins, I really think we need to identify which cards have the highest correlation with getting an instant concede. This will increase our gold per minute and such. It used to be Ulamog but that takes too long and isn't consistent. Which cards get you guys fast concedes?

I've noticed that Blossoming defence has a surprising side effect of getting an early concede. I blank my opponents removal and they get sometimes take off out of frustration, or to Hakeem's point, maybe they have no other solution to likely win the game and just leave

Anything you guys notice gets early concedes?

T3 Liliana can be quite discouraging, I've seen a few early scoops in response to that. Also the Expertises - Yahenni's into Liliana, Baral's into Gideon. Rishkar's into Nissa. That sort of thing.

Blossoming Defence is getting annoyingly common. I just gave Elk a write-up on the game I could remember facing a very similar deck to his, but the earlier one won because my opponent managed to get 2 of these onto their Tireless Tracker. Irritating as ****.

I want to concede when I see that the opponent plays draw-go control. I know the game will be long as hell, it will mostly be the other guy having fun and playing with himself. And they are more likely to win in the end because I usually play midrange. Screw that sh-t.

Expertises freecasting another strong spell seems to get a lot of concedes. Ramping out Plated Crusher T4 has caused a couple opponents to quit on the spot (just when things were getting good :( ). I don't play counter control very often, but when I do I notice opps tend to drop out after I counter 2 spells in a row.

A second Sphinx's Tutelage followed by a Cathartic Reunion, often make the opponent quite :gross:

or

Casting Liliana, Death's Majesty, while having a Anointed Procession and 3 Wayward Servant in play, makes people quit fast...

But if I name a single card then it would be Sphinx's Tutelage, because of the boring kind of deck's using this card...(either the Izzet or Fog type of those)

Hmmmmmm, not any more. I just wait till they pitch Commit // Memory in the GY and then use Torrential Gearhulk to cast it so that the original copy gets shuffled into the library. They normally quit after that play.

Yesterday I was tempted to concede after a t1 Sacred Cat, t2 4/4 Exemplar of Strenght, t3 zombie cat --> 2º 4/4 Exemplar...facing 2 x 4/4 attacking in turn 4 at already 15 life is harsh on the draw, lol

But I somehow ended winning that one, so... :P

My mono-black has forced a few concessions with something like this chain of plays...

T1: Fat Al's Push
T2: Grasp of Darkness
T3: Murder
T4: Yahenni's Expertise into Lili, the Last Hope

Opponent: Fork this guy, I'm outta here.

A constant stream of removal spells tends to demoralize many players.

Alternately, a well-timed Erebos' Titan can upset a burn player.

Tutilage is prolly the most aggravating card in Duels and Tutilage fog is prolly the most obnoxious build to play against for most deck types, so that would be my goto if I wanted to earn coins without playing the game. (But honestly, I think a tough aggro build should give the highest coin/time ratio. Just win or lose fast while winning more than losing.)

Other than that, I think it depends on the matchup. Weenie will fold to midrange if midrange manages to stabilize, and will fold to pretty much any sweeper if it overextends into one. Synergy/midrange will fold to walker control if it has a slow start and the control player demonstrates a ready supply of answers, etc.

I was playing 2HG with my friend and he told me "I am going to make these guys rage quit on turn one" I said "sure... how you planning to do that?" He said "just watch" And he proceeds to drop a evolving wilds and cracks it for an island and immediately the guy on the other team quits. I legit LOLed for like 3 minutes straight. I now joke that he should add one island to all of his decks.

T3- creeping mold a land.

In my mono green eldrazi deck i run 2x rec sage and the playset of creeping molds.
some games it's creeping mold 3 turns in a row, it's no acid moss, but it still just forces people to leave.

I want to make temur land denial using creeping mold, reduce to rubble, elder deep fried and whatever else can deal with lands etc fairly easy
missing the last reduce to rubble, will be my temur control list :D

I played that Never removal spell on a T3 Lilly once and the person conceeded. Dropping T3 Lilly is such a nut draw that I guess I must have really broken their will.

For the people that played Moss back in the day. Do you remember how often you would get a concede against an early moss? I think the correlation might be as high as Ulamog. It happened a lot.
