Insult just looks like such a fun card, there's gonna be so many great stories of huge blowouts that card provides haha, alongside fling of course.

I also can't wait till I see the Mill vs enigma drake matchup, it's gonna be such a minefield haha

True, I just think it's cool we've got one at all. That's definitely a 3 card infinite, and it's a whole lot better than what we had before which was like a 5 or 6 card infinite (e.g.: never going to happen). I don't think it's playable - but it's still fun that it exists. Although, if you don't insist on trying to make the whole deck revolve around the combo, I don't think including it in the deck will make the deck bad.

Yeah... that could work WJ... I was trying to see if I could make a full-blown combo deck, but I don't think so. Putting this into a working deck? I mean why not. And if you do it in Bant, may as well add Drowner of Hope.

You can maybe keep it :w::g: for consistency.Birthing Hulk also does the same as Eyeless to increase number of pay-off cards. Some Grapples, Eldritch Evolutions, Gather the packs, Pulse of Murasa's, From Beyonds, Auramancers, Big Nissa for combo assembly / combo recursion. A one off Animist's Awakening for X = library size to get all the lands out of your deck just for giggles, cause at this point you have the combo and thus the win.

This deck also just screams for Ajani, combo assembler

Then again, splashing blue would allow for a 999/999 Altered Ego, a Nissa that can drop anything, or make 10 haste flying power for ever and ever, and big value plays or insta-wins with Open into Wonder.

EDIT: In fact, all the blue cards are non-essential win-more, so you can drop it and go for the Selesnya I think.

If you want to win on the spot without having to wait for a turn, I think walking ballista does that better then anything else, and at colourless as well.

Need to run Blossoming defense as displacer is the key to the combo. It would basically be bant flicker so reflectors, whirlers, watchers and drowners all getting flickered by displacer. Put in all the Gideons and add cards like new and big Nissa, Tamiyo and Ajani. Fill out the curve with selfless, declarations, essence flux and whatever other spots are need filling. The manabase is probably the hardest part having to do 3 colors + colorless, have fun with that.

There are other infinite combos in bant but they are all Christmas land stuff that involves using all 3 copies of cast out and several other things.

Yes you can. Sacrificing a creature is part of the casting cost for Fling. Geistblast doesn't copy the cost, only the effect.

Insult // Injury could also be cast before fling, instead of copying fling.

Or if you're on 8 mana, go both - or 2 insults before fling or whatever. Same result, apart from insult being sorcery speed so you can't kick it off in response or during opponent end-step.

Also, opponent is not allowed to play insidious will ;)

Actually, fling could work well with the Enigma Drake deck I posted, the way I see it, making a 10+/4 Drake hasty isn't very hard and from there a Fling would do the trick.

On another note, there's a long forgotten card I've been thinking about but haven't found the best way or deck to use it in yet: Sanitarium Skeleton. The idea is get maximum value out of all the Discard/loot effects in the new set. This card is by far the easiest recurrable way to get a card back to your hand from the graveyard and its Instant speed. At worst, its a 1-drop chumper. The card isn't meant for a lightning fast blitz deck, but a more value orientated mid-range/controlish deck.
Could be for a haunted-dead/prized amalgam/ gy recurring deck, with extra Discard/madness thrown in. Could also be a recurrable creature to sac for the black god... Any other ideas?
