Next in best of series ..... what is the best non basic land in Magic Duels. Any non basic land card from any of the Magic Duels sets to date (ORI/B4Z/OGW/SOI/EMN/KLD/AER). This is the penultimate in the series before the biggest (and potentially most difficult to choose category)...... not Many choices arguably but still interested to see what players and deck builders rate as the best non basic land in Magic Duels SD |

If a cycle is cheating, probably Aether Hub. |

Aether hub, probably followed by Shambling Vent/Wandering Fumarole. |

WestvaleAbbey illicits fear when it hits the board and can totally drastically change the state of the board and the game. What a land. |

Does evolving wilds count ? If we are talking about utility then that is definitely the best. Probably the most used non basic land as well since it's not as specific to deck types/colors as the others. Other than all out aggro I can see it finding a place in everything else. |

I'll go Evolving Wilds. There are very few non-monocolour decks I'd consider building without them. Aether Hub is a close second. Advantages are coming into play untapped and sometimes providing energy. Disadvantage is that it only fixes once by itself. If I don't need fixing I'll take Westvale Abbey in more controlling decks; Foundry of the Consules in decks that care about artifacts or gong wide and sometimes the buffing monocolour lands from BfZ. |

Westvale Abbey is my favourite non-basic land. Does Aether Hub transform into a 9/7 flying, indestructible, lifelinking, hasty demon? No. It does not. There is almost no reason not to run Westvale Abbey: it's a mana source that can be used to counter a number of threats when you get the personnel necessary to sacrifce to it. Also, have you ever had an opponent's giant beasite coming at you undefended but had 5 mana and the abbey available? Better to suffer 1 damage creating a cleric than take 5 to a Juggernaut or something. My son adds that his favourite is Hanweir Battlements. Mana, hastening, and then maybe, some time down the line, Hanweir the Writhing Township. |

Prob the dual lands or wilds are the best (most important) non-basic lands. I'm really happy for them, imma let them finish, but Westvale Abbey is the one of the most fun finisher lands of all time! OF ALL TIME |
