Hi All,

Quick question: in your opinion whick set should I start unlocking next? So far I have both the Origin and the Aether Revolt sets.

Thanks in advance =)

You should have started with kaladesh. It's the strongest set by a lot

KLD gets you Smuggler's Copter and the Copter killer. 2 of the most relevant cards in any meta going forward, period.

Kaladesh for sure, arguably ORI/KLD/AER should allow you to compete amongst the best decks in the meta. Arguably its maybe its PW.dec that may be lacking but there were good additions in Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Nissa, Vital Force and Saheeli Rai. In addition Aether hub and to an extent Inventors' Fair enhance energy, artifact and multi color decks.

You could build a reasonably functional Naya PW.dec with those sets.

- Flip Nissa
- Nissa, VF
- Chandra, ToD
- Ajani
- Yahenni's Expertise/Languish for sweepers
- Harnessed Lightning for removal
- Druid of the Cowl and Oath of Ajani to ramp out the PWs
- Heart of Kiran

You'd be missing Oath of Nissa, Chandra Flamecaller and Gideon from BFZ/OGW, the removal options from SoI/EMN, and some of the better utility creatures from all of those sets. Should be pretty overbearing against other starter players lacking strong ways to deal with resolved PWs though.

Whenever a set goes to special (for 100 gold per booster or less), concentrate on that one. Otherwise, Kaladesh first and then work after that from the most recent going back I think

God help me, but I agree with Barney.

When there is a sale, turn off your phone (unless that's how you play Duels), lock yourself in a room, scream at your loved ones to leave you alone and play the game for all you're worth. Fill out whatever set is on sale as much as you can, then when the dust has settled and you re-emerge from chrysalis as a sweaty, emaciated butterfly, work on Kaladesh.

They know best but I just played one of my first Kal story mode games and got Unlicensed Disintegration and Harnessed Lightning in the booster pack I bought with my winnings.

I'm glad to see that I'm on the right track. I was playing back when it first came out and had 60% of ORI. I stopped because I didn't have the device anymore that I initially was playing on, but just started back up again recently. I started with AER because I figured the newest stuff was the best, and by the time I finished that out, I noticed that almost every time I came across a card that made me say, "Wow, I wish I had that", it was usually from KLD. So now I have 100% AER and 30% KLD.

I've been farming mostly with a RDW deck, almost always wins turn 5 against AI. Very effective, but any advice on other good farming decks? Some days playing 25 RDW games can get a little dull, and most of the other decks I've tried tend to run long games.

Also, do coins ever go on sale on iOS, and if so how often? I might not mind dropping a few bucks but I don't want to spend money and then later find I could have held out for a sale!

Coins do occasionally go on sale on iOS, though I couldn't tell you the rate they typically get discounted.

I think it's discounted at a decent clip, 30-40% or something

They had a sale a few weeks back but it didn't seem to co-incide with anything in particular, also I noted in the store itself there was no apparent discount from the normal in terms of cost per single or multiple packs. Very odd but never needed to worry if it was genuine or not.

Since you have ORI, try the old UR Thopter builds. Not as efficient as RDW but helps with the dullness.

Between 100% AER, 30% KLD, and 60% Origins, you probably have the start of a solid Gruul Energy deck.
