Looking for an updated thopter deck here on the forums. I feel like I keep scrolling past it and not seeing it. I deleted the one I had by mistake that mega helped me make. I keep looking around but everything I see is old, like a year or so. I know it hasn't changed too much probably, but still would like to see it. |

Reshfuu's Grixis Thopters seemed to do a nasty number on me. You can find it in the Fight Club spreadsheet |

How would you define thopter deck? My tournament deck is a thopter deck! It runs all copies of thopter engineer, pia nalaar, pia kiran, chief of the foundry, copters, harvesters, with selfless spirit as protection. This should probably be the core of any thopter deck. I evolved the thopter core with the best pilots Motorists and Depala, adding a few more vehicles heart, skyship, caravan, splashing black for scrounger and unlicensed disintegration and that's it. |

Don't have an exact list, but it should be pretty similar to the Origins versions, just swap some of the weaker cards like Ruined servitor ect, here are some notable cards the deck got: Pia Nalaar Maverick thopterist reckless fireweaver Whirler virtuoso other options include: Harnessed Lightning era of innovation Probably missing something but this is off the top of my head! |

well, I am looking for a blue/red one, but any will work really. I know the basis of it and remember some of the cards, but when mega helped me, it was a pure origins build using just blue/red. now I have almost all the cards, I want to make it again, but better since it was lacking a bit. edit: Although I have played magic since about 1995ish, know how to play and the rules and all that, I am not always the best at making decks, so I like to see lists and go from there. |

if you want to stick to blue red, it could not probably go for very fast kills. Spy network is slowly accumulated card advantage, thopters aren't excellent at blocking. I'd probably look into black for extra control against snakes and vehicles, making it a midrange grixis deck. Still you want the harvesters and copters, skyship, whirler rogues and stuff. Black gives you some fatal push, disintegration, scrounger, and there's a thing called syndicate trafficker which can be pretty good but also depends on how deep you want to go into black. |

Black Barney wrote: Reshfuu's Grixis Thopters seemed to do a nasty number on me. You can find it in the Fight Club spreadsheet I did make his deck, but used it in 2hg. Was fun. Not sure what we were playing against though. One guy was 3 colors and the other was at least 3 as well, possibly 4. both had black and blue for sure though. Between the Fatal Pushes and Languishes, I didn't think we were going to win, but they didn't drop much into play other than pw's, but even those we were able to kill when it came back to our turn. We stabilized after when I got obnix down and gave opponent the -2 life whenever someone draws a card, and then dropping the guy that makes opponents discard at end of my turn. kept them from having anything to do really. |

I don't want to hear another word about 2HG. When I recommend decks, it's to play Magic: The Gathering with. |

2hg, commander, 3vs1, it is all part of magic the gathering. want to go that far, then everyone needs to play with ante, which is how it was intended. |

I had a blast! Prob helps that I can get away with playing some super jank while teamate controls board, then have someone else watching my 10 piece combo go off |

I've actually been looking to upgrade my thopter deck and was looking for advice. Not sure if this post belongs in Deck Construction or Decklists though so I'll spoilers on the bigger part just in case. I haven't unlocked all of Kaladesh yet(87%-ish), and got a few Revolt boosters.
If this is an acceptable thread to post in:

Anyone who says otherwise is lying. |

While I do love a 1v1 smashemupthrowdown the other formats can be much more fun at times. That is one reason I keep bumping up the ps3 thread. I can still get a 2hg game going once and a while. Found a brand new friend with a mic the other night and as a team proceed to lose every game but had a great time doing it. We both ended up the other night in a 4ffa and everyone had mics! I do love sitting around and **** while slowly building my board and then unleash all hell when the other three players have gotten pissed off enough at each other to let their guard down. sixty tends to take me out first most of the time if he can because he knows I can be real evil that way. 2hg Where your partner can run a janky deck to see how it works while you keep his ass out of the fire or do something like run an enchantment/aura deck and make 10/10 undying, flying zombies for your partner to whip around the firmament. |
