As the title suggests, After the old site went down, had no idea where to find the people I used to play with via playstation network.

But unfortunately, this isn't on PSN now. But I did get an XBOX1 in November and downloaded Magic Duels.

Was wondering for those who remember me(and even those who don't yet know me), are any of you on xbox1? I used to play with a few people that I remember their names, like mjack, felbatista,thedevilwster, just to name a few. would be cool if anyone could add me on there. just send a message if anyof you do in case your name is different.

And I do apologize if this thread should be elsewhere on the forum. I only just started lurking around here in the past week or so and finally decided to register!

I'm on Steam, devil is still stuck on PS3 games by the looks of it (altough I think I saw him on Steam) and jack is on XOne, but he doesn't want to play anymore (or at least that's what I understood from his latest thread), so no luck there. But there are plenty of XOne players around here, especially because it seems like they just fixed XOne's matchmaking issues. Enjoy!

its weird playing it with f2p. so used to buying the game and playing that way. and only just noticed that there was an issue with xbox matchmaking before signing up today. would explain why was better and faster getting a game today. would say that it got fixed.

I mostly play 2hg, so hopefully there is a good player base for it. sucks still not having a lot of cards though, but I also wont pay money for them, lol. I think I may finish the origins set first since I have like 40 percent or so of it. so right now any deck I have kinda suck, haha.

don't buy the older sets until they are on special, eagle. They go on special pretty often. I would only buy boosters from previous expansions if they were selling for 100 gold each (or less). Otherwise, i'd buy the new stuff.

that's just me tho.

yeah been debating about what to get. since I started, only shadows and eldritch were on sale, so I go showdown set and have like 35% of that. I also don't play 1v1 much, only to do dailies really, and I don't care about rank.

I just like to have fun, plus I don't have the time to grind out the coins everyday. might be faster now if they fixed the connection issues or whatever was wrong, but still, without a good base of cards(mainly multiples like having 1 common out of the 4 that are good) I lose most of the games I play anyways in 1v1.

and I hate playing the computer to be honest, lol. so working on origins may not be a bad idea for me in the long run. I don't know. I value the input though.

if you're not going to be efficient in your grinding by playing 1v1 once a day (for the first win of the day bonus), or farming the AI... then it's going to be even more important to only buy boosters on sale cuz you won't be swimming in gold. Do all the story modes and all the skill quests for the money. Then SIT on your ever-growing horde of gold (like you're Smaug or something) and when Origins (or whatever set you have your eyes on) goes on special, SPEND AWAY MERRILL, spend away...

the quests are really the big source of free gold. So be sure to reset the quests you don't like and play the ones you can get.

I was thinking about it and I may try 1v1 more and grind a few against the AI plus the daily. I just have other games I like or want to play plus I have 3 kids, so time gets to be short sometimes. only sucks because I got into the game so late. I will get caught up eventually, just gonna take a while, haha. like a month a set or something like that?

nono, once a quarter. you will have plenty of time, don't worry. Just enjoy it! You'll never catch up and you know you don't want to either if you don't want to do all that work. so just be honest with yourself about what you want out of this game and you'll have fun!

what other games do you like to play?

I mostly play role playing. But will play anything if I like it really. playing dragon age inquisition for the 2nd time right now. still have shadow of mordor to play, a batman game, a few I downloaded for free on xbox as well. gonna be getting a few backwards compatible ones too and maybe getting the EA access to play those games as well.

and I like playing magic, so I may just put the time in a bit more. I'm just used to the old way of it.

if you're low on time to play games, don't get EA Access. I did that once for a month and was overwhelmed by all the games to play. We're already getting 5-6 free games a month as it is, not including all the new free-to-play games that come out all the time. Hope you like your xbox one so far, it's a fun system

yeah, loving it so far. I find it gives better free games than playstation does. and then there the reverse compatability. that made it even better for me since there are adding more games I like to play from the 360. mostly for mass effect series, and now they just added dragon age origins.

I also like that I can snap some of the apps I like and do 2 things at once. lots of time I play and watch something, lol.

so now that you say it I might not do ea access. I can just buy the games I want really. I rarely buy games on release. I usually just wait to new goes down or I get a good deal on used ones.

Man, I don't miss the old site at all. Outdated software, rubbish interface, leaking functionality all over the place, and atrocious mods.

...and mjack talking about Moroii

It is legitimately the best card, you wouldn't believe it, this card is SO tremendous...it hurts, bigly, you know?

Honestly considering the deck it was in Moroii was still one of the better card choices. Of course whether that's a shining endorsement of Moroii or a testament to just how terrible Rogues Gallery was is a different issue altogether.

(Spoilers - it's the Rogue's Gallery thing. Easily second worst deck in 2013.)
