I visit if I need to grab information. Aside from that, no, I don't go. I'm not glad it's dead, most of us (at least the folks from the YMtC board) got our start on the mothership. It really is too bad it sucks so much now that everyone abandoned ship. ~SE++ |

That reminds me, Hakeem, make sure to look to pm's once in a while. I created a Wacky Card thread in the You Make The Card thread. I would love to see the Beer Cooler series come back. |

I used to check both, but I haven't been back there in a week or two. No interesting discussion there anymore, and the site is just frustrating to use. |

My opinion is they did it to intentionally get people to leave so they wouldn't have to do so much customer service, given how terrible they are at it. |

I think they neglected the site due to inattention and once someone in charge notices, there will be hell to pay. However, the ball was dropped, this forum picked it up, and ran it in for a TD. |

Yes, just to check topics on my favorite decks - I still like to discuss them, here or there. |

Not really. Only time I'll go there now is (if/)when Wizards_Sean posts the final 4 decks. |

I stop by from time to time. But just to see if there's anything official. Happier by the day to be here...lots of fun things on this forum that I would have never found out about without the migration |

I pop in to have a look at the "is it supposed to do this" thread or whatever it is called. Days pass between each visit though... |

Nobody thinks the migration his half the problem? I like this new forum, it is better than the old as far as moderation is concerned, but there is a flaw. It's pretty much dead too. New magic players found the old one with ease, and we were there to answer questions and help out, this one, not so much. Familiar faces here all the time, but none new, and what do we actually have going on? One deck thread, derp files, maybe two other threads getting a post a day? Great place, good moderation, nobody here either though. |

I think modding is where most of the action is now. Hard to say. Deck packs shake things up for like two weeks. Also, it felt last time I played online that the community was smaller this year. I think going with 9/10ths aggro decks in the initial set got rid of a lot of people. Then there were all the errors for PS3 and X-Box. Just a really poor showing this year. |

If you help spread the word, we can build a really nice player base, but without people bringing in new players and spreading the word, it'll remain small. ~SE++ |

Disheartening. People saying they would own me at Magic, stereotyping those that like Felicia Day, Saying the thread was... hold on, gotta look this up... Ah yes; "Viral Marketing" (still not sure of the context or implication on that one was). Not a whole lot was said about the topic itself, and of what was, only two people actually had anything positive to say. I mean, here is better than the official boards. For me at least. But it's not easy to shake the first impression that people here don't share the same interests as me, or will have already drawn conclusions based on the things I like. I mean at some point I'm going to try again, but still.... EDIT: I edited the crap out of this by the way. I'm done now. What's said is said. |

To anyone confused on what happened, here is the thread in question. I know some people don't venture far from their preferred forum, so if you didn't see the thread, there's the link. And personally, I think more then two people were being positive in it. Also, you did manage to spark quite a bit of conversation, so was it a bad thing? Some people act a little negative or aggressive, but as a whole, I liked the thread. ~SE++ |
