I have to say, I really like this forum. Since it's new, though, we have to work to get a community going on here. We need to spread the word through other boards somehow and get some people in this place! Also, this isn't an insult, but if mjack could tame his post count a little bit it would also help. Trust me, it turns people off from reading at all if there's a spammer around. If this is simply the "mjack and friends" forum, I'll probably just stay away. Please take this the right way. Overall, I'm excited to see if this place takes off. |

Let's see. It already looks better than the old site. The people who run it are already more engaged. I was worried about auto card, but that's working. As far as I can tell the only thing we are missing is official release info....which, since it's so infrequent, who cares! Great job to all involved, both setting up the forum and getting us a place here. |

BTW Hakeem, this forum, unlike the old one, has a functioning ignore feature, if need be. |

Ignore won't really address Hakeem's concern. I myself will have to hold my posting to a minimum now that we have our space. Who is going to want to join mjack and thedevilwusters discussion forum? I'm not going to put mjack on ignore here and am genuinely thankful for his work in helping us get started... so mjack... please don't post 10,000 times a day. I will also use restraint. |

The sad part is that is basically true so far. The forum is basically empty deck threads we created and threads designed to get us a subforum. The most discussed decks are the two new ones, and the most recent post as of me writing this was like 6 hours ago. @devil, shouldn't you link the 2013 thread to the decklist directory? @atheism, the old forum's feature works. It just deletes your avatar when you use it, so that you have to resync it. @hakeem, why did you post 4 times in the old forum's 2013 thread? That is kind of the reason people aren't posting here. They are going to the exact same threads in the other forum there and posting things there instead of the exact identical thread here. |

jack, this forum is brand new and we all can't post 1000 times per month. You shouldn't either. Regarding the D13 thread, I was asked to post four decklists by another member and you cannot use multiple deck tags in a single post, so I needed to do four. If you'll notice, it took me almost a week to find the time necessary to invest in something other than a minor comment. Until this community gets established, I still have ties to the old one. |

I'm officially migrating over here now and I hope to be posting more, despite my apathetic feelings towards 2014. |

Please don't recruit from the Steam Forums though. We'd end up with "don't buy this game' threads right and left and "I can't beat the cultists, game is too hard" type posts. |

The most discussed decks are the two new ones, and the most recent post as of me writing this was like 6 hours ago. As someone who was not part of the DotP community on the mothership and who, frankly, doesn't play DotP as seriously as many of you seem to be, I think the biggest problem here is that you have a bunch of deck threads, detailing the content of each deck, but no actual discussion on the decks. I don't know if there's already been some discussion on these decks on the mothership and as such, people have already established what works and what doesn't, or what, but when I click on one of the deck threads, I hope to see a bit of a primer on the deck or the main contention points or whatever usually sparks discussions on decks. If there has already been some discussion going on the mothership, it may be interesting to have a short summary here that highlights what most people agree on and what the divergence points are. I feel that this kind of stuff is more likely to spark discussions. Or maybe it's just a case of not enough people yet. Anyway, I tried sparking conversations on the decks I enjoy most or am most curious about and I'm glad to see the discussion picking a little momentum. The problem is that I don't have all that much experience with the game beyond the campaign, so I don't know how relevant and intelligent my opinions are. |

I think it's a problem of too few people spread out over too large a space I think it will pick up as more people come. |

There are thousands of posts on the old forum, breaking down each deck, card by card. Hell, there was a whole thread dedicated to treasure hunt. I'm sure, as more people come here, well get that level, likely just starting with the new decks in the deck packs. |

Yeah, it'll take some time. We've discussed a lot of these decks to death, and until there's something new, most of them will probably stay silent since I suspect most of us are migrating. That being said, Filobel, always feel free to post decklists or whatever you want in the other threads. Even if it's something that's already been discussed "over there," nobody will mind having the discussion here, and we might draw in some fresh opinions and interesting new perspectives! |

I will be posting my decklists up for discussion when I get some time. I've been wanting to but also not wanting it to look like I have my own forum, plus I said in an other thread, I didn't work last week so for now my presence here and in the game is going to be limited until I can solve the issue and chill my wife down. |

If there's been discussion to death about these decks, it might help to have a bit of a summary in each thread, for people like me who missed those discussions and wish to be up to date without having to visit the hellhole that is the WotC boards. I guess that's a lot of work, but I would imagine it would help bring new blood. @thedevilwuster: yeah, I hate when life gets in the way of MtG! |

Done to death - but...people still disagree. I will post all of my decks...once Mr. P's deck editor is working! |

How are you running EtD these days, Neo? Did you stick to the ramp plan, or switch it up? |

I just noticed that this forum shows who is online at the bottom of the page; and there are actually a good few familiar names there. I think this place will be fine! |

People completely agree on soul bleed to the point where it is the only card in any of the deck lists to have DO NOT RUN THIS CARD next to it. They agree on a few other cards that way, like archangel, leyline phantom, omniscience, voice of the provinces, wurmskin forger, etc. The problem is that everything else someone is for or against, so a "summary" will be skewed one way or the other. For example if someone were to bring up moroii in the dimir thread......... |
