Immortal Wins 2-1

Game 1: I was able to swing through with a bunch of little 1/1s for a while. They did a lot of damage. He did not get any green mana until t5 I think. That hurt him a lot. He was at 7 life and I had lethal on the board and he played Wanderer and I was able to Anguish it and swing ftw.

Game2: He had answers to all my little guys. Swept twice...no 3x. He played Koz on like t8, right after I played Bellower with an Advocate and he exiled Kozilek's return to do 5 damage and sweep my board again. He played Chandra T5 which I Anguished, but he had Gideon on the board as well. Was too much power.

Game 3: Similar early start for me as game. He swept early. He Anguished my Gideon and attacked with his man lands most of the game. He never drew From Beyond or Ulamog. I had Sorin on the board from t6 until the end. He definitely earned his weight in gold. Major card advantage. I forgot all about Avacyn flip ability and I think Steely did too. He attacked into Sorin with a chump blocker on the field. That did 3 damage and got him to 7 life. I drew something that did damage with Sorin and the 6 damage from Avacyn finished him off. I did have removal in hand and 2 manlands on the board, so I think I had lethal either way.

Great games Steely! I stood up playing the last round haha!

first of all, what a total bummer to come on here and see that Danno got knocked out. That was my saving grace. So now I would love to see a DJ vs Divinevert final. That would rock. With Danno out, i'm rooting for DJ a ton since I loves me that deck. It was my favourite one in the entire tournament from the start. I wished I had played something like that. But i shouldn't complain when I made top 8 with clue birds

Game one i kept a two-lander which worked out fine but just ran into tons of counters and then he ultimates jace and i die very slowly

Game two was much closer. I tried to be as aggressive as I could and got him down to 3 life with a Avacyn flashing in ftw but he found a spell shovel or something for it and then i was out of cards against baby jace. an even slower death this time around with big jace ultimating all over my face and breasts. Brutal.

Very happy for Divinevert who is an awesome poster here and has been from the start. Best of luck to him.

and unfortunately for me, it went exactly as expected. My deck simply can't answer a flooded board. Same exact reason I lost in the iOS finals. The good news is that I was able to snatch game 1, so the end result was 2-1 for peepy. Sorry Barney, I warned you it probably wasn't going to happen.
