There was this one time when we decided as a group to run a 4 ffa Dream Puppets face off so I went in and added a full set of 100 cards. I won with just 5 cards left on my library, so take that! Lol

Um.... ok, I haven't been on for a while but did I miss something? Did Shadowcran's account get unbanned? I thought he intentionally got it banned.

More importantly, I don't believe the real Shadowcran has been posting in this thread. Whoever IS posting appears to have picked up on many of Shadow's tendencies but has missed the mark in immitating both his tone and his grammer. Am I crazy? Is what I'm suggesting impossible? Cause unless Shadow came back to us specifically to get under people's skin I really don't see his signature behind his signature, knowhutimean?

No, in Duels there's no deck than runs better with more than 60 cards

In Modern and other formats, yes it can make sense...up to a 120 cards optimal, in some builds...I mean, from a mathematical point of view, because suffling must be a pain...tho the faces of the opponents: priceless

There are other, arguably more optimized versions of that deck that run 60 cards. Smaller toolbox, but definitely more consistency. :)

It also seems like a pretty easy combo to break up. Like, the opening run-out Karstens gives us is this:

"Imagine the following sequence: Turn-2 Sakura-Tribe Elder, turn-3 Cryptic Command, turn-4 Bring to Light into Traumatize, and turn-5 Splendid Reclamation."

Oh, is that it? Just the ideal 2-drop, 4-drop (on turn 3, with 3 blue sources), 5-drop (on turn 4, with all 5 colors), into Splendid Reclamation turn-5.

None of those cards are tutored for (Traumatize/Bring to Light only total 4 copies, with a 5th in the board to grab with Glittering Wish), so this deck really needs just outstanding draws to get going, and then it gets blown out by an opponent's Cryptic Command.

Like, it's interesting, but it's unruly and inconsistent and doesn't seem all that interactive.

Calling that deck optimal is questionable at best. If you want to use the Traumatize/Reclamation combo specifically, sure, but isn't a regular (i.e. 60 cards) Bring to Light/Scapeshift deck just better?

Oh, that's why the deck does a lot more things, I guess...anyways, I'm not defending the deck, obviously a rogue build, tho it is good enough to win a medium tournament...just the maths, which I found hilariuos.

Also, in a 60 card deck you couldn't play the 4 Traumatize + 3 BtL + 4 Wish (and probably the 4 Gifts too) to have what is after all like 15 pseudo-Traumatize. 15 for 120-150 sounds as good as 4-8 for 60 to me...the whole maths of the build are a nightmare, I'm not sure about anything regarding if its possibilities to comb are better or worse than a 60 cards one

Fell: optimal for that combo, exactly...again, there are so many things going on there than making strong declarations without having played it like a lot, seems a bit...too daring to me

That's like saying the optimal way to run a Battle of Wits deck is with 240 cards. Although that's technically correct, the actual optimal way to run the deck is to not run it at all :P
