YO DAWG I HEARD YOU LIKE CONDITIONS, SO WE ADDED SOME CONDITIONS TO YOUR CONDITIONAL COUNTER SO YOU CAN SATISFY CONDITIONS BEFORE TRYING TO FIND A SPOT WHERE YOU SATISFY MORE CONDITIONS

@GFTL: The counterspell that goes in UB Artifacts and maybe Thopters for sweeper protection? Still nay-saying sadly. (DAMMIT, me and Vert are agreeing again...this gets too confusing)

Speaking of Thopters, that Dissident fits nicely.

EDIT: Also Rebuke's flavor text fits perfectly atm.

I think Rebuke is fine. There are multiple 1-mana Artifacts in the Set (which is not saying much, but al least increases our chances of getting one), and some of them fit in Control decks. I should also remind you guys that people actually play Spell Shrivel, which is not much better than Rebuke with 0 Artifacts.

It's a world better than Rebuke with 0 artifacts. Exile and extra tax baby.

It IS better, but it is not a gigantic difference or anything. Having Artifacts in your deck makes up for that easily (and you don't even have to commit heavily to them).

In either Thopters (the easiest to abuse this thanks tokens) and UB Artifact Control, sure Rebuke is better.

Me sticking that 1 mana tap Array into a by-the-books control deck? Nah, too inconsistent. This spell holds effectively a turn less value, so it has to make that value up by coming online earlier (which it can do).

The exile effect of Spell Shrivel has straight up won me games I would have lost. I still play a few copies in a lot of my control decks. Not sure about Rebuke yet, since it has to be built around more. Goes nice with a Dynavolt Tower that hasn't come online yet, but that kind of deck wouldn't be running as many artifacts.

Big enough difference that Spell Shrivel makes it and Calculated Dismissal doesn't.

And I think Calculated Dismissal is better in most draw-go strategies, too.

Fair point. Although I don't agree that Dismissal will be better in most situations.

Draw-go plays very few artifacts, and they enter late enough that the cost reduction does not matter much (Confirm Suspicions, Torrential Gearhulk). On the contrary, Scry 2 is always helpful.
I agree that Rebuke is the better card in general, but the worse card for draw-go control.

and (at least) 4 other creatures is infinite combat phases

not super applicable to duels considering they are both mythics (and I doubt Brainless can code Lightning Runner anyways), but still, super fun combo time

Red expertise not got revealed yet? Odd. Unless it's the Magic Duels exclusive spoiler?

SIDENOTE: Thought I already posted this but I must've missed the post button or something.

Of course, if you are slamming 5 and 7 drops, probably don't need too many combat phases.

There are still a few more previews to come before the final reveal tomorrow. Keep an eye on these outlets.

Totally true. And then 13 turns later, maybe it will help me.
