Why? So the AI can pilot them extremely poorly.. making any data you'd hope to derive from the matches relatively worthless.

So I can play against a legitimate deck while traveling. For that matter, so that I can play against a legit deck in general, instead of whatever random stuff I find online too.

I like to imagine the AI as being a guy at a tournament, totally strung out on speed, barely able to sit down at the table. Someone has to put a hand on his shoulder now and then to get him to take a breath.

"... and then I'll tap my Juggernaut to crew my Smuggler's Copter, then I'll tap the copter to crew my Renegade Freighter, then I'll tap the Freighter to crew the Skysovereign, then tap the Skysovereign to crew the Sky Skiff, and attack for 21 damage! Effin' game, ya douche! Ka-Pow! What do you mean two damage? What the eff? This game sucks!!"
