Skysoverign lives in the sideboard? With 3 thopter engineers you should be committed to running Skyship for an insane t5. Theres also a harnessed lightning there when there's a Cut in the main deck, so weird!

Dread Wanderer is early pressure + recursion vs control. It loses synergy points sure but I wanted a resilient aggro deck. It was a tuff call the card did work in this tournament.

Skyship while powerful I felt is slightly more risky to take over Glorybringer as it requires a 3 power pilot the dragon requires nothing. I didn't want more than 2 drops main for consistent fast opening hands.

Ribbons straight won me games. Watch game 3 vs Reshfuu.

I lost to Jam's GR monsters that played fast. I could have lost other aggro matches but my removal showed up when I needed it.

I decided to run the deck less removal main so hopefully I don't have to auto lose to creature lite builds at the risk of losing to faster decks. This deck is fast though so i feel i can race with most decks if it comes down to it.

I probably should have run the 2nd Pia over the 3rd Thopter Engineer but you helped me realize in a KOTH match i can't build jeski control to handle everything in 60 cards so i scrapped my tournament deck 3 days before the deadline. Obviously I have no regrets over what I put together with limited time.

Meta-specific. Decks that are good in tournaments aren't tuned for playing vs. the ladder. Recursion was at a premium for decks like mine and CGB's which are removal heavy.

Surprised someone isn't pointing at the worthless blazing volleys in the sb. Not even one token deck was submitted unless you count zombies.

There were 3 or 4 decks in last seasons xbone tourney that were 1/1 token heavy (my Valor deck, Mobius' BW tokens, a RU(B?) thopters build - feel like there might have been another with thopters, like an improvise one - but can't recall for sure). Also like a 3rd of the field was Mardu Vehicles which run several 1 toughness dwarves.

I don't think it was the worst card you could have added to sideboard...

Mardu and 1/1 tokens/thopters was the target. I found it surprising no one entered one of those decks especially since the sb options are better the more colors are played.

I thought mardu was considered the best vehicles deck because of Gideon and all the boros vehicle synergy cards. I skipped it only because I didn't want to run 3 colors and think UD is the best removal we have and the Rakdos synergy cards.

I'm guessing most people were burned out on it from last season.

I expected a surge in token decks considering all the token generators and synergies in Amonkhet. Not one token submission. I really wanted to see some marionette master spice. I felt there was an awesome deck there I just didn't have it built.

Nice 1 sleep. I've had a crazy week, but at first glance only see a couple minor issues with the deck

Yay DJ! I've longed for you...I mean missed you

The sideboard thing and early block restrictions talk overwhelmed me and I didn't feel like I could build something I'd have fun playing in time. I wish-washed near the deadline after block restrictions was tossed, and strongly considered getting a sideboard together for my Rakdos Hellbent deck (I was playing that deck a lot at the time). Glad I didn't TBH. The way half the people (including the organizer) rage quit after the no-new-sets announcement would have pissed me off so much if I had put the effort in to submit a deck for this tourney.

It's cool Gem took over as organizer and the participants who stuck it out were able to finish. At least now you'll forever be the final champ of Duels Fight Club.
