Here's the Green review. I'll do Artifacts next, then wrap things up with Multicolored, all that before the expansion drops.

I think Narnam Renegade will show up in ALOT of decks. I'd give him a 3.0.

Druid or Push for no.1 card?

They could reprint swords to ploughshares and Druid would continue to be relevant. Druid all the way. We'd need two sets of common 1 drop elven mana dorks before Druid would be irrelevant, and even then I'd consider playing him in an elf deck. But that's just me.

Druid will be in most green decks until they reprint Nature's lore, and even then creature decks will still play it.

That said, fatal push is extremely high value too, so Fel will have to make the call, and no matter what he decides people will disagree.

The way I see it, if you even scrape Black, you'd have a tough time justifying a non-inclusion of Fatal Push unless 1-2 drop creatures stop existing. Druid does deserve a 5 I agree, but if I do the same theoretical splash into Green for w/e reason, there's some slight cases to be made for its lack of inclusion.

It'll come down to how the meta swings. If Druid heralds the return of Ramp to top dog (unlikely) or 3+ drop midrange, then Fatal Push gets much worse without consistent Revolt triggers. You could say whichever wins, the other loses

Show up, yes. Be the most optimal? Testing will tell. I love this card, but the decks that would want him are really tough to find room in.

As long as Copter is in Duels and is run in every deck with a reasonable amount of creatures, I think Push edges out Druid. Maybe Druids do enough for ramp that they can make it close - but I do think Push has to get serious consideration for any deck that even just splashes :b:, while the same isn't true for Druid.

The return of Ramp to Tier 1 status is actually extremely likely, especially in a format heavy around aggro.

I expect it to show in a lot of decks, but not be a staple in any of them (unless +1/+1 counters takes off). Sounds like a 2.0 to me.

For the record though, why would you splash green? IMO, even if the only green card you wanted to include was new ajani, you'd still look hard at a 1/3 that could help get your bigger Pw'ers out sooner. And you'd surely include oath of Nissa, by which point you might as well add in Druid. Lots of decks would have similar thought processes.

I'm trying to think of a deck that wants green and just flat out wouldn't want some ramp, and I'm drawing a blank.

If you're just splashing Green for some reason, getting Green on turn 2 will be harder.

I don't think :g::r: energy cares about ramp. Rather that T2 play be a brawler/cub/Copter etc. Aggresive beat down decks who's curve tops out around 4 DGAF about Druid.

Fair, on the flip, does Rakdos Aggro want push, or just shock?

Midrange can get on the board quicker, and Shock will be having a hard time dealing with those X/3+ critters from turn 2 onwards. Unless you packing enough burn to just chuck it at face, Push would probably be more productive in winning the race and pushing damage through.

Shock doesnt kill Advocate or Chopter (or even Druid). Might want both, one or the other, but Push at least gets considered.

Shock seems clearly better than Push in aggro. Going straight face is going to always be relevant, and midrange dropping fatties, usually you can just force through fatal around that same time. If Rakdos aggro can't outrace a Copter, then your deck is too slow.

Is there ever retrospective to these? Like seeing how close the ratings where near the end of a season.

Depends on the type of deck is. Fatal Push will be better in the long run. but playing Shock in aggressive decks, especially with the ability to go face, is always good.
