All this talk of Blossoming Defense just makes me think I was right when I was singing the praises of Vines of the Recluse. I've had people concede on that card too.

Except for the fact that Blossoming Defense is a million times better than Vines of the Recluse, which is a very mediocre card that would only maybe see play in an Exert deck, and even there it is questionable.

You guys kill me sometimes... :V

No drama here though, just discussing cards. I have received a stern talking to once this week already, I am not looking to dig that hole any deeper.

Edit: I am more than willing to explain exactly WHY Blossoming Defense is a considerably better card than Vines of the Recluse should I have to. I figured that it should be pretty obvious though.

I didn't say they were equally good, but Vines has won me games.

I have to say that combat tricks that hardly anyone plays have a slight advantage, because nobody plays around them the same way people play around Blossoming Defense.
Its that wtf effect that makes you have to pause and read what that damn card actually does.
That can be enough to sometimes win games...

One thing I can say about the yet still there ps4 2014 base is that no one auto concedes.
Hard enough to get a game so just play it out unless it's a really active lobby night and still play it out as far as sanely possible.

I'm guessing this was supposed to be posted in The Off Topic Thread? ;)

Or is reading Norm's book to someone a way to get them to give up fast? :D

One good point for Vines of the Recluse: combined with a deathtoucher that you get to freely attack with for a few turns. Once your opponent gets out that big flier and will start to pound you or expect perhaps a fog as a slight inconvenience, it could make them pause the game 2-4 times easily. Darn it, the thing gains reach, untaps and is born with venomous fangs/claws!

I'd prefer to make my deathtoucher ping something instead, but yeah...

t2 copter into t3 reclamation sage targeting opponent's copter, on the play, is the fastest concede you can get. I tend to concede when it happens to me (I dont think I play rec sage in any deck)

Wrecklamation Sage is easily the most played green creature in 2HG. When playing against green your opponent will cast it without fail the second there is an enchantment or artifact on the board. Lol
