Even if we got a Damnation reprint in Amonkhet, can't see it denting Vehicles :p I'd still love it though, but I'm pretty sure that'd be the big "nope" for us getting it if we even do get this block.

Ya, still, they could include it because of vehicles running wild. Wouldn't make much difference for duels since we have languish still which is probably better for a T4 play. Something like planar cleansing without the triple cost would be better.

Learn to read. They're saying we could include it precisely because it doesn't effect vehicles and thus wouldn't break the meta/game.

If vehicles weren't a thing Damnation would be really powerful, though Selfless Spirit is also a thing.

Sorry, sixty4half I think they could include it because of vehicles - as in it's not super great against vehicles so it wouldn't make a huge difference. Selfless spirit is an answer to it, so languish around T4 or T5 is usually better.

Regardless of what comes with amonketh, I don't think we need a new sweeper in duels, the duels cardpool is lacking in other areas.

True... we what we currently need badly:
BX, or BBX : destroy target creature or Pw'er.
B or B1 or BB Look at target player's hand, choose a non-land card, target player exiles or discards that card.

R1 deal 3 damage to target creature or player (instant would be a bonus, but not necessary.)

U2 or UU1: Instant Put target non-land permanent on the bottom of target player's library - even better if we get to choose top or bottom, lols. (wording is wrong, but that's the card we need.)

Also need a bunch more 1 and 2 drops that are good enough to play.

What we need is good uncommons and rares in the 4 and 5 drop slot.

With a few exceptions exceptions such as Whirler Rogue or Languish, almost everything considered playable at the top end of the curve is a mythic. I'm also sick of pushed 2 and 3 drops. I want some goodstuff that I know I can reliably draw each game that I can build around and work up to.

That too. I want all the things, tbh. I hate my options at 4-5 currently... actually, I'm changing my vote for that line... 4-5 drops first... then maybe some more early stuff.
