Knee-Jerk Reaction: I'm a little disappointed. No Negate?! But every single vehicle that's playable makes it in. Also, Mechanized Production could lead to some really unfun games. As more of a control player, it seems like aggro will be stronger than ever and now combo might also be a threat.

But I guess I should look on the bright side. We got Push and the black Expertise. And Baral. So it's not all bad...

I can see why those cards are banned in standard.

In Duels they've only banned commons that make certain decks unplayable or too good.

For example, Sylvan Ranger, Foundry Street Denizen, Perilous Myr, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss.

UB Artifacts and GX Stompy.

Ditto on the Artifacts. About the only deck involving Blue I'm big on now.

Also going for Abzan tapout.

Finally black got what it deserves. But really disappointed about negate. I understand when we didn't get it with origins and ogw, it would be overused and oppressive. But now with 7 sets not only it is not oppressive, it would be necessary to balance the game and keep control on the track. It's sad that they give us all the vehicles and no negate this time.

But when I'm done screwing around, I'll update boros dwarfs, which is probably the biggest winner from this set.

They killed Reflector Mage? Something had to go from UW flash and it sure wasn't going to be one of the pushed rares and mythics that sell packs!

I honestly didn't think we'd get any mana fixing or ramping. I'm going to try some Sultai builds. Ramp, tutelage and crats. I've been playing red and/or white in 90% of my decks everything since BFZ and I'm sick of it.

I wanna see if ramp can be a thing again with 6 2-drop mana dorks, though they only produce green or golgari but green ramp is enough to set up the rest of the deck given it's a green thing.
Not good at pure brewing though, especially just looking the card list without being able to fiddle around with the cards.
