I do recall that MM original intent was not to join the tourney. He only joined after the due date so that we do not end up with an odd number. So it seems valid to me that he might not had his sideboards ready at that time. Can I request the organizers to make a decision on this? Whether he is allowed to submit his full list now, or take a penalty of having his sideboards capped at 5(?) cards, or continue the tourney without sideboards etc.



Lol, I would rather play organized games with the great bunch of peeps here than to wait for eons on ios ladder. Why don't you wait for the organizers' call first before deciding to withdraw or not?

Sorry for this mess guys but this one is on the organization team.
So a couple of things to have in mind.

1. I thought that I have misplaced MagicMasters Sideboard, (because his submission was not made through email) so I ask him to send it back to me.
2. All sideboards and decklists where suppose to be blind and delivered together at the submission.
3. Remember that Magic Masters submission was made when we where stuck at 13 players.
4. We have been pretty flexible with other rules of the tourney always deciding things with the paramount objective of having fun
5. Leaving MagicMasters without a Sideboard for top 8 will leave him in a disadvantage position.
6. Leaving MagicMasters with all his sideboard will be unfair to other players so...
Sorry MagicMaster we as organizers have the blame in this one but you get a penalized sideboard of 5 cards.

I personally hope that everyone understands the case and accept our decision.
MagicMasters deck is locked at the wiki page with his reduced sideboard for top 8 stage.

As I believe we are all in here for good old fun so lets call this thing closed.

Re the Tie- Breaker I assume Necro and Zen still need to play. A win though would seal it for Zen while a loss would both on 1 win each. When is that being played?

It was a close game, really fun to play!
That key of the city was my doom, and both of my Thing in the Ice where MIA for the whole 3 games GRrr
Anyway I really enjoyed the tourney, far more interesting games than in the ladder. The sideboard is extremely fun to mess with.
I will try to keep things interesting for as long as I can in any form of organized play so stay tuned

I´m having a hard time compressing the quicktime videos for youtube (It takes forever).
How are you doing it Wizards?

For reference I use export to the 420p format. It can still take some hours to upload to YouTube but the export roughly halves the file size.

Drob and I have completed our games.

ArielBelkin played our games, and he took the match 3-1.

I had a great start in game 1 (and mana short on his part helped), and won in short order. But things went downhill from there.

Game 2 was going my way, and I was putting pressure on to close out until one fateful turn (1x fatal push, 1x grasping darkness on my turn, followed by a walking ballista) wiped out all 4-5 creatures I had on the board, and swung the game in Ariels favor.

Game 3 and 4 I applied pressure early, but lost steam, and succumed to a combination of Nissa's, Walking Ballistas, and Winding Constrictors.

Great games ArielBelkin, good luck in the rest of the tournament. Also as a side note, despite Duels no longer being update and supported, I am all for participating (and helping organize if need be) more of these tournaments to keep those of us interested still playing competitively, from the comfort of our own "wherever" and on our own schedules.

Thanks SquiderDragon for putting this one together, and I urge you to "not go softly into that good night" when it comes to playing in and helping organize these!

Thanks Daniel. I will put it 'out there' that if participants are interested and we get at least 8 interested I am happy to continue to participate and run. We can decide how to keep things fresh pool wise but that is for another time.

I am still likely to leave the NGA boards but of course will rely on a similar thread to run future events (probably retaining this thread).
